I'm not for sure but I think the wire was blue with that same brown/tan strip and it was the same gage. I can check tomorrow

The wires use a reverse polarity system, so its 12 volts but switches positive and negative to trigger the lock mechanism...

And please tell me if you have the Ford Factory Alarm with Remote Start.

I'd like to get this sorted out. As to how the drivers side wires work for some.
The only way I see it, is that some are using an aftermarket alarm system.
