It's an easy install. Just one T50 Torx bolt for each side. Plastic inserts? I'm not sure what you're referring to.

This is a great deal for the OEM bed extender. I love mine!

I didn't have a T50 but a 1/4" Allen wrench got the job done. One plastic insert was missing so the dealer ordered a replacement and the rest popped out without any issues. They had to order a set so I'm going to try and get my hands on all four.

Will ths work with a factory bed liner?

I would assume so... I will take a pic of how the bed looks after I removed it so you can compare it to yours to make sure.
