Project X Jump

A few trial runs with increasing speed, then see some nice hang time (just as the HD camcorder dies from getting too much sand in the tape's gear mechanism)

I was planning to stop after this 58 foot jump, but because the camcorder died and did not capture the landing, I decided to make that last jump (ouch!). Little did I know, but Cory (OkieRacing) had picked his GoPro up off the ground, and captured it all, including the landing (this is the other version with Cody's dad wearing the orange shirt in the foreground - snapping pics)

There sure is something to be said about flying through the air with a 6000 lb truck. The weightlessness feeling is unreal and exhilarating.

So how many SCREW’s have had a nice jump like this with four people in the cab? Although, I don’t recommend anyone for the back seat on jumps like this.

Pretty crazy to think that Motumute’s truck landed where mine landed on the bounce. I think John used his floor board as wings to catch some lift off of the wind coming over that dune.


P/S - $40 for BOTH the alignment kits (two in each box) is a KILLER deal. After this weekend, I thing all the raptors that off-road should have these installed. After all the messing around this weekend, my truck still tracks straight and the steering wheel orange marker is dead center.

Whtrapta, is your suppension all stock? I believe it is, right. People should know with some good driving skill, they can jump their raptor with no problems.

I believe Okie’s raptor was stock too, and he had some good jumps out there when he still had his Rap.

YES! Sorry is taking so long to get all this up... I have so much going on with work and sick family, that I am working on it late at night mostly. That pic is taken directly from the HD video and so should be HQ. How to enlarge it? Using the standard forum image attachment manager which max's out at 5 smaller pics. Is something like photobucket better for getting larger HQ pics?
