Okay guys help me understand this. My dealer called and told me my order has changed in the system to "submitted priority 1" I asked if it had a VIN and he said not yet. So can we go over this one more time... What does this mean?? They have been thinking about building my truck since 10-5, now they are actually considering it but have yet to commit? Is that about right?

So in that case, with NO material holds and NO quality holds, it is still a load of BS that guys who pre-ordered are stuck waiting.

I agree.. I'm not complaining that I got my VIN and build date FAR earlier than I expected but with that being said, never having ordered a vehicle before, I presumed they would start at the first in line and go from there. Their "system" is mystifying to say the least and seems to have little rhyme or reason to the uninformed outside viewer.

On face value it seems Ford should take a long hard look at their priority system. I will in fact be speaking to this in my surveys even though I have benefited from their odd system. Wrong is wrong.

You aren't alone..... I'm still with you.
No, you're leaving me. Your change to a priority 1 is scheduling for a build. All alone. Boo hoo hoo.

the delay would be valid if there was a material hold or a quality hold, but there isn't. There's no hold on nav or paint like during the tsunami, there's no hold on quality like last year with the body control modules, production is in full swing, no restrictions, and Ford has built trucks with every option.

So in that case, with NO material holds and NO quality holds, it is still a load of BS that guys who pre-ordered are stuck waiting.
Well said.

alot of you fail to realize that these are being delayed for a reason! you want ford to send you a raptor then 2 or 3 months later a problem comes up and then you want a lemon case. If someone can back this up all the delays are due to the nav electronic option. These units are either back logged with short supply of parts or software issues that are not available yet. Ford has taken a bit hit in the initial quality in the recent survey and I believe all are somehow related to the sync system. One thing I did see from my own research all the 2012 raptors out there that are at dealerships or have been purchased do not have the nav system. Anyone want to chime in?
Don't start this shit again. Check out e-bay, there are several with NAV. I would suggest that if you come to this site with the intention of starting shit you either re-assess your goals or put on a pretty heafty flame suit. Ford's new order pulling system and failed customer service is the reason, not the nav story again. Read a little about "dealer allotment" and a few posts here and get updated. There are NO material holds and NO quality holds PERIOD and that is straight from FORT SVT. That being said, welcome aboard. Your knowledge will go up with your post count.

Cool deal Curt...Next tuesday... So you should have your truck early January. Nice!

I think Im next, at least there has been some movement. Im just not sure what that movement means in relation to timing. Looks like guys are getting built dates of mid to late January now.

That means Ford pulled your order to schedule it for building, but they haven't assigned the vin# and build week yet. You should get a VIN# in a couple days.

They go on allocations. Regions that sell more get priority. The messed up part is even for pre-sold trucks, if a pre-sold truck is in a lower priority region, theirs go on the back burner even though it's already ordered from a paying customer. THey still put priority of dealer stock ones ahead of those presold ones based on allocations. Total BS. Dealer stock OT2 should be based on allocation, pre-ordered OT1's should be 1st come 1st serve.
