Lol. How's the LS doing? I keep forgetting to ask.

The Laguna Seca is sitting happily in my shop. Weather has been ******, I haven't been going anywhere but sitting at my computer working. Making up for it next week though with a three day weekend.

Sweet. How much of a difference do you notice between it and your old regular boss? Did you finally get the track key programming?

Had the Trackey on both...couldn't really tell a difference. You can barely hear the "track key cam" idle. Contrary to popular belief, the car is not "race ready". The tires need slicks, the brake ducts need to be installed, the rotors need to be slotted (I did get brake fade at the track), needs some Super DOT 4 in the brake system, it throws an engine code of "random misfire" after awhile at the track (both cars did it), has some cooling issues with the engine and I experienced that it does indeed have some understeer that will be mostly fixed with running slicks.

The above was "showroom stock". Next time I get a chance to take it to the track, I don't know when that is going to be, but soon because I just got in my Boss 302R wheels for the track. Now to order a couple sets (or 4) of Hoosier R100's! Brakes will get done over the next few months. I am going to go overboard and cyrofreeze my slotted rotors. My biggest problem now is to decide which car I am going to take the track (poor me). I love chasing down and passing people with my V6 Terlingua and it actually has more HP than the Boss 302 does. With the proper set up it could easily whip the shit out of it. So, dunno. Do I take one limited production car (under 45) with a cage in it to the track or take the other "supposed" limited edition car to the track? Both are head turners. I have a funny feeling that the Terlingua needs some serious aerodynamic help now. I need to get it to Texas World Speedway on a decent weekend that I am free.

Huh that's interesting about the track key. A lot of owners are probably disappointed after the drawn out wait. You're not the first person I've heard/read that feel like the brakes fall short when pushed. I guess can't expect too much from factory. That's strange about the miss fire and cooling issues. You figure ford would have had those kinda problems handled. Are other boss owners experiencing the same thing that you know of?

That Terlingua is a bad bitch! I remember you telling me about schooling vetts with it Haha

1. yes. It is common issue. Everyone is hoping the "trackey" programming will fix it. I am calling ********. Running antifreeze in a race car is just stupid since it only retards heat absorption. A tune isn't going to make the car run cooler.

2. The Terlingua schools many a person. I still never forget when the ******* Miata LAPPED me TWICE in 10 minutes. Bastard has an LS2 in it and damn if he couldn't drive.
