Hey guys, thanks for the quick and positive replies.
@woutvc : you're right. I bought the car in the Netherlands and now I need where it has already been imported. Now I need to import it agan into Belgium (it's still Europe but other rules apply !!?). The towing is already allowed for 7716lbs but I don't know how or why. All US cars first go to Germany were they are "TUV" approuved.

Because of the weight of the car I can only put 661lbs (300kg) in the car (driver and passenger included) or I will get a huge fee (around 11,163.24 USD) so that's what I try to avoid.

@ MatMan: Yes, I can help, change the 050 to a 716 and resubmit.

Highly doubt Ford is going to write you a one off letter stating your gvrw is increased. So every day cars get put on the scales in Belgium? That's very weird and interesting, over here only commercial vehicles have to go over the scales.

In Belgium, a pickup pays a little annual fee compared to a normal car so they are almost immediately considered commercial. Even when it's for private use. And yes, they put you on the scale. They put me twice in 3 years. It's a cashcow for Belgium ;-)

Anyway, thanks for the reply

You know it's very easy to import a car from the Netherlands to Belgium.
All you have to have is a proof of sales and the official RDW papers from the Netherlands, with that, you can go to the customs in Belgium, ask for a pink form (will set you back a few cents) and then get it checked (MOT)

It's not that easy. Had a friend who imported a chevrolet avelanche from the netherlands to belgium. He had to follow the same procedure as it was coming straight from the us. We have a single certificate of approval for every car or truck wich is never imported by the brand itself. It can take up to six months to get the approval. This is how mine looks

@Taxman : the racingstripes don't go to the back though I indeed to put them once I got the paperwork done.
@woutvc & Jef : indeed it's not that easy. I have the bill and the official RDW papers. The customs is the easy part. It's getting him approuved by the 'technische controle' and then .... waiting for the "homologatie" which can take up to 9months. I know someone that works in the same department and she warned me that the administrative part is a pain in the arse.

Jef, you're from Belgium I suppose and Wout from the Netherlands?

Yup, from belgium. To speed things up, you should call someone like cdv cars who knows the places to go to get the paperwork done. He's familiar with importing us cars.
