Thanks for the insight. Yeah I contemplated the westcoast as no major rust issues ha . But yeah 100k service will be on my mind for most of these trucks in that range . Thanks for the heads up .

Goin to look at a screw 2011 tomorrow with 85k will see how it goes . Just curious - seems as if the values go up as these age. Where do you guys see a 2011 in 4-5 years with 130-40k on it ? I don't see them loosing much at the rate they're going . But with 2020+ coming out who knows . Coming from euro performance sedans prior , I always was in a habit of factoring that in ha . These are a whole nother world in a good way with resale/retaining. Obviously not a factor in buying one etc - just interesting to hear examples if anyone has sold one with the miles up there etc.

Truck seems to be solid. Looked at a 2011 screw around 80k mi.- asking around 30k. Prior owner did all new fox shocks. Along with upper control arms , and the valve body end of last year.
It's at a non ford dealer which told me there is an open recall. No backup cam/nav. Does this make these less desirable ?Does have the graphics & side steps. Think the pricing for the Ct/Ny area is close here ? May be able to haggle some.

I would do a search on car guru's. You can search any Raptor within a certain radius of where you are, and filter out years, miles and price. I found my 2013 on there. Love the truck. Car guru's will give you prices to compare and you can see what options are on the trucks to help you compare the prices.

Looked at a few , one that im leaning towards all checked out 2011 screw 70k mi- hardly any rust , no signs of it being romped etc. but it did go through an auction prior the last owner . Is this a flag with anyone - all else being ok should auctions steer you away ? I know they can end up there for silly reasons sometimes.

A lot of the local dealerships by me send their Raptors to auction when they can't get their asking price after a few months. To many of them take in trades or buy from auctions without knowing what to look for. They usually have no idea what they're getting into. They just see 'Raptor' and they think they are going to make bank.
Everytime I go to a dealership they are amazed when I roll underneath. Once I was looking at a 2011 Screw with 62k miles. It was priced in the low to mid $30k's and I couldn't figure out why it wasn't selling. I went to look at it and I knew why no one was touching it. The whole undercarriage was rusted out. The shocks were all rusted and leaking. The body was already rotting. And, they did a terrible job detailing it. I found mud caked up in all the normal places you'd expect to find it. I even made the salesperson get under there with me. I offered them $25k out the door and they said they were in it for way more than that. I said good luck and fast forward a few weeks, it got sent to auction.

Oh yeah for sure , that makes sense. I looked at one very similar that wasn't moving . Mud caked everywhere , potent witness marks of the bed contacting the cab. Undershield and front bumper were smashed up/in. This i'm assuming went to auction hah , thanks for the info.
