I'd rather drive a Smart car. This is why GM and other companies have specific models for specific regions.
The only thing close to this that GM did good on was the Maloo in Australia. This could have been a reborn El Camino if they wanted it to be.

Not bad, paint that thing, fix the grille and tweak the body a little and it could be a decent looking El Camino. LSA 556hp of course....
One of the models has a 5.7L LS1 (342 HP)
They had it on Top Gear once. Did a pretty good lap.
I believe it uses the G8 GT motor I can't remember the RPO code. LS1 is old tech.
This is Australia's most powerful Coupé utility, using a Chevrolet Corvette-based 6 litre LS2 V8, outputting 307 kW (412 hp) and 550 N·m (410 lb·ft). Later 08 and onwards models saw the power output rise to 317 kW (425 hp) with the use of an LS3 6.2l all alloy v8.
The Maloo R8 currently holds the record for the world's fastest production utility/pickup truck, at 271km/h, (168mph) beating the previous record holder, the Dodge RAM SRT-10 by 22 km/h.
