2010 Nav install ?

Hey guys, i did a search and not well explained that i could find.

Looking to install factory Nav in my 2010. Just trying to see what factory parts I need from a donor or is it even worth the effort? kind of stumped what to do and dont like my phone GPS as i cant see it well while driving. Also dont want to use a garmin or tom tom.

thanks for your help and if you went a different route, lets see it. The Ipad thing look interesting that guys are doing in the mustangs, but hell, its tooooo big. lol

I have a 2012, and wanted to do the same. From my research, a factory NAV just wasn’t a viable option. Apparently wiring harness are different, and I think the BCM may be different as well.
I went to a company called 4DTech, they have factory style NAV units that will plug right in, all the steering wheel controls work, Bluetooth works perfectly, it even had a Raptor splash screen at start up. They run about the same cost as any of the higher end aftermarket NAV units, but don’t require any additional modules to interface with the factory buttons. I had one in my Super Duty as well, and loved it. Which is why I went back to them for my raptor.

Here are some more pictures.
Phone connects perfectly every time, factory sync works as does the usb input. It has a hard drive, so you can download music directly to the unit.
Also has Sirius weather and traffic. The traffic info is great on long trips, if the delay is longer than a specified time, it’ll automatically route you around to a less time consuming route.
Map can be split screen with the radio or phone, or full screen and 2D or 3D views.

And have no idea why the pics are sideways.

that's awesome! great info, do you have a link or do i need to just google the company name? if you have a contact that would be sweet. this is what im looking for to install and thanks for the factory info as i was worried it would be a pile of stuff i would need to buy to make something work. simple is always best!!!

2. what did you order to get the back up camera off the rear view mirror, and down on the touch screen?

Yes, that’s the company. I don’t remember who I dealt with when I got mine. It was a couple years ago.
My truck did not come with the backup camera, but I believe they have a harness to make it show on the NAV screen. I added an aftermarket camera (better view) and used their harness to be a direct plug in to the NAV.
I got the 3 button bezel, in flat black (default color) Give them a call, and they will help you out. Super great company to deal with. I have no affiliation with them, just have bought a few units from them.
