Welp they whacked me for $105 to tell me that (1) its broken-duh (2) its the heater element in the seat-duh again (3) its not under warranty and (4) the total to replace after parts and labor will be around $350. Sux.

Now the question becomes this: replace it (again) only to have it go out for a third time a year from now, or realize that the seat itself is barely hanging on (because of my size and the off road pounding I put on it) and therefore save up a little while and replace the whole freaking seat? I'm leaning toward the latter...

Replace it J.. Get a nice set of spearco seats to go with your RPG cab cage..

I still haven't done anything about this. I get the feeling I'm gonna regret that when it starts getting cold and we head up to the snow :-/

big j i can help out if you decide to replace the heating elements. where i used to work, i had to replace the seat heaters (and sometimes covers) in a bunch of gm and vw vehicles. it was a common problem with those 2 manufacturers back then. changing yours out shouldnt be too bad. i have had multiple f150 seats apart for headrest monitors, so it shouldnt take long

I'm really disappointed in my replacement seat heater's performance.

My original one really burned my ass if I wanted.
