No, I was refferring to the GT500 especially the KR's. Point I was making was with these cars were lost in production and people either drove them like they stole it (My family especially drove the wheels off 3 then sold them for $1K or $2K in 1970), sold it, or stored it. Now you can see the price sky rocket for one in original condition. Point wasn't to pick apart the AC Cobra or what I was saying. Point was that a $110,000 car is now worth $40,000 MAYBE, and hopefully some day it will return in price, value, and collection just like the GT500.

It would be cool to get a Raptor pilot on-board for sure!

Anyhow, I think I'm going to look into an AC Cobra replica or a GT500 when I'm through paying off the Raptor. That is if I don't win this tricked out Vette their raffling off here locally emoticonluck.gif

A buddy of mine has that same Viper - limited edition - he actually was trying to trade it for the Charger SRT8 and take some cash home with him. 37500 for his Viper - crazy!

The Mamba is nothing special. Better investments include the VOI models.

The Mamba edition is just a sticker on the console and some other visual flair. There is also the Copperhead edition from 2005 as well.

Motor, trans, body, brakes, etc are all the same as standard Viper.

The Gen III (2003-2006) Viper value really tanked with the Gen IV equipped with 600HP, better engine/rear end/TR6060 trans was released in 2008.

The most valuable and collectible Viper is model year 2007. :) :) :)

I had a 2005 and it was a fun car but the 2010 GT500 I replaced it with is far and away a better car IMHO.

xjr... look into your crystal ball... what do you think the value of a pristine low mileage example of an 07 will be worth in 20 years? 40 years?

Hah doh. Ya got me.

If you mean the crook from Texas, I have no idea but Daimler Chrysler did not produce any model year 2007 Vipers.

True point Dan, not everyone appreciates them. I feel the same about the new Camaro so I see what you're saying. I've had the Viper up to 195mph on a track and it feels great, the Veyron however felt perfect. Again, just differences in taste. There's always gonna be something else that can get the job done. Hence why Chevy, Dodge, and Toyota are trying to catch up with the Raptor! HAHAHA!

For 16X the money, I would hope the Veyron feels better
