It's clearly the quickest, cheapest way to get 3.0 Foxes on a G1, and there are lots of those 2017-18 shocks available. The other good news is that there will always be F150 owners looking for take off G1 suspension parts as well. I put my rebuilt rear 2.5" foxes on my 2012 3.5 ecoboost truck last year, along with the original wheels and fresh rubber. There's a tiny bit of scrubbing against the bumper on hard turns, but that's an easy fix.
