I was already worried that the ease of removal and resale value of a Raptor tailgate would be very tempted to thieves and then there were a few posts about some other owners getting thier tailgate stolen. So, I ordered a Tailgate Lock from Masterlock.

Best price I found was $13.00 on Amazon.

It's more spendy, but I REALLY like/prefer the Power Gate. My tailgate just locks and unlocks with my doors. It's extremely handy for a ton of reasons - one being your tailgate can't get stolen.

pretty smart! im look into this more.. being of i live on the border with MX and I go over there alot. A buddy of mine got his tacoma tailgate stolen because of the rear view camera, lol i

I actually had the dealer do it as part of my purchase. I want to say it was $189. I believe it taps into your tow wiring since that has everything you need.
