13/14 HID to LED Conversion

Decided to try this product from Precision LED. I'm super happy with how these turned out and am glad I chose these over the more expensive HID bulbs. I got these during a Black Friday sale for $112 shipped.

So maybe a dumb question - I’m looking at replacing my headlight housings - I’m not paying $1500 for Morimotos. Could I essentially purchase the regular “halogen housing” and put in LED bulbs, and do away with the HID ballast? Is there an adapter for the plug-ins?

Morimoto makes an adapter for halogen to HID swaps. I think I remember reading that it does not work in reverse. I'm not sure if there's anything on the market for what you're looking to do.
