12' Raptor 77K miles

Hey guys. Hoping to buy my first Raptor this weekend. I'm getting what I think is a good deal, however this Raptor was in a minor accident (no airbag deployment) per Carfax report, and looking at the front bumper it does looks a little bent. If its only the bumper and the rest of the truck checks out i'll make the purchase. Does this look like something an aftermarket bumper can fix relatively easy?

Any other things I should be looking at? I will be checking for off-road abuse but I'm not familiar with these trucks yet. Looking forward to learning more about these trucks and meet some fellow enthusiasts on the forum.

So I just returned from my 4 hour journey in my new to me, 2012 SCREW. I got a great deal on the truck and with 77K miles it is in great shape mechanically (with the exception of front bumper). It needs some love in the interior and I already have some parts ordered. The rear camera doesn't work and it seems to be the common issue of the camera burning up so I have one ordered.

I will be replacing the front bumper and tail lights (RR is cracked). Full service starting tomorrow including plugs, filter, fluids, and I plan to have the shocks rebuilt since I have no record of them being serviced. No leaks surprisingly but I have to assume they have never been off the truck.

Anything else I should be looking at? Skid plates show zero impacts, zero bed strikes, and all the gaps seem to be even at tailgate and bed sides. There was a minor front end impact that has the front bumper pushed back a little but that is little concern at this point.

I plan to slowly upgrade this truck and use it at the OBX beaches, some local trails on the weekend, and tow my small motorcycle trailer to the racetrack (ZX10R). However, I wont be posting any videos flying through the sky.

Welcome and congrats! All that maintenance sounds like a good idea. It will give you peace of mind at least. The fuse 27 relocation is something else to look at also.

So I need to do some research on the fuse 27 issue. Looking at it now, it does not have a fuse in (27 location). Is it safe to assume this mod has been done? Forgive my ignorance on this as I need to research more...

When you do the camera you will almost certainly need a Ford Oval, it will undoubtedly break as you remove it. Not a big deal, but you might have to order it? Congratulations on your new truck.

Yea luckily the company, Camera Source had a great description and "how to" explaining it's normal to break the oval when disassembling, so I ordered the oval with it .

I can already tell the support on this forum is better then any Ford dealership around! Thanks man!

Nice looking truck. If it were me, I would loosen all the front bumper bolts/brackets and see if you can set it straight. A come along strapped to a tree can do wonders. On the shocks, I would not rebuild until you feel they are in need. But new is nice. The front bumper looks okay?

You see what I want you to see haha. It is pushed back past the passenger side wheel well about a 1/4". I will play with that idea though, in fact I already have been thinking of just straightening out whatever I can. It is minimal dont get me wrong, but I know its off and it will haunt me until I fix it...

Shocks honestly feel OK but to be honest I have nothing to compare them to so what do i know? I will sleep better at night knowing they are fresh. I see a lot of guys are upgrading to 3.0 but I dont think I'll be using the truck hard enough to justify that.

If I'm being honest, I probably would have purchased a gen 2 if it was in the budget. Love all Raptors! I will take care of this truck I promise ya that!
