12+ inches of snow is no match for the Raptor.

Have never driven in snow...but really want to now that I have the right truck...
I currently have an IWE issue on my ‘17. I’m too lazy to fix right now. I’ll fix it soon, just got the parts. In the meantime I leave it in 4A for all driving. Actually been driving in 4A for the past month. It doesn’t switch to 4H. It’s perfectly fine to leave in 4A. Might take a little wear n tear but it was made for that.

I spent the last few winters pulling people out after snow storms. My 37” KO2s are great in snow and ice. My KM2s were great in fresh snow, but horrible on hard pack or ice.

I believe it switches to 4H if the clutch packs start to overheat. Had it do this to me during spirited driving in 4A on loose terrain.

Although I've never had it happen, this is my understanding as well, and numerous people have reported this behavior.

Good morning all, getting some good snow this morning. I’ll be trying out the 4A and 4H on the way to breakfast. I’ll try to get some pictures posted.

4A is perfectly fine for 24/7 street driving because the clutches disengage at speed and don't overheat. It is on slippery surfaces and aggressive driving where the clutches are constantly working where they overheat and the truck switches to 4H to avoid damaging the clutches.

Indy got about 6 inches of wet snow yesterday so I was out & about in the snow for the first time. I did not like the traction control as it felt like the throttle response was dead...so just turned it off!
