12+ inches of snow is no match for the Raptor.

I felt sort of bad just driving around all the stuck cars.

It amazes me how many idiots try and drive in snow on crap tires. On my wifes fail book, they blame our subdivision association for now plowing the roads.

KO2's worked much better then I expected.

I switched back and forth between 4a and 4h, and decided 4h was the better option for that much snow. I did use the rear locker and really couldn't tell the difference with it on or off. Got stuck behind a neon with crap tires who couldn't make it up a hill. I pulled around him, stopped, waved, then just went on my way.

4a works great in rain, or a dusting of snow.

I agree that 4H is the best choice if you are getting into that much snow, but 4A works as well. The truck will only go so far before it automatically switches itself over to 4H. You will get a message telling you that the truck has switched over to 4H. I took one of our trucks out on the lake and was busting through about 18 inches of snow last winter. I left it in 4A to see what it would do and it worked fine. I don’t remember exactly how the message was worded, but “hey idiot, since you aren’t bright enough to figure out you need full-time 4wd we’re just going to do it for you” pretty much would sum it up.

I believe it switches to 4H if the clutch packs start to overheat. Had it do this to me during spirited driving in 4A on loose terrain.

Ok, went out and drove around in 2-3 inches of snow today. The KO2s are good but nothing like the Nokians ok my AWD SUV.
