Tires are the issue. The reason the truck is limited is because of the tires. This would be easily defeated with a tune.

Is there a way to bypass the 107 governor without a tune? Anyone find it on FORScan yet? I need over 127mph since that's what that cops are limited to ... kidding!

Forscan can't access the pcm so don't hold your breath. You might be able to find a cheap tune if all you want is to remove the limiter. I don't know about other options.

Throw on some BFGoodrich Baja T/A tires and you'll be able to safely raise the limit to 124mph.

what kind of tires u running on that gen1 ? gen2 can obviously go 140+ just dont have any tires that can handle it yet on a 17-18" wheel or off road tire.. govener can be disabled just no tires to support it yet.
