Yeah the whole 100MPH limit has it's downfalls. I got the jump on some sort of hi- horsepower Cadillac the other night, the squarish shaped supercharged type, in the rain and wasn't looking at the speedo when, Boom, it felt like the truck just died! I looked down to see that the speedo was stuck at 100, as the Caddy blew by.

I also have a few backroads and 'special' routes where this type of speed is indeed safe and sane.

The car below is Red Line limited to 159 MPH and sees that speed frequently....yeah I like speed. Guess I'll look into a driveshaft and electronics.

Well with our cushy assed suspension, I'm not sure I'd want to go much over 120mph...
Getting to 120 the fastest, however, is of more interest to me :)

Also keep in mind that the speed rating is sustained speed. A short blast to top speed won't generate enough heat to cause issue. Obviously the faster the speeds the more critical air pressure becomes.

Must be the XLR

or the new cts v sedan or coupe or the old cts v or an xlr yes

Good clues guys, thanks.

I saw him again tonight, looked up CTS-V, bingo, it is a CTS-V wagon! No plates yet, I'm guessing 2011 so according to the web it puts out 556 HP, so I'm not feeling to bad tonight. And hey, I did get the jump on him...Lol!
