$1,000 over invoice DC area

I gave up with the Joe Judge at Apple, Waldorf, and all the other northern VA/DC area dealers. It's like pulling teeth to get the same deal they've given others, so I just went and ordered up at Van Bortel in NY.

Invoice + about $100 in fees. Then about a $110 dollar plane ticket (x2 since I went with my wife) and another hundred bucks in gas. So... about invoice + $400 is what I paid, and didn't have to wheel and deal.

Only thing I DIDN'T like is that Van Bortel wanted payment prior to me even seeing the truck... they said they wouldn't let it off the lot due to a Ford rule if I didn't have a valid registration, and they wouldn't accept one of the temporary DMV registrations expressly for that purpose. And in order to get it fully registered in my home state, I would need the title, and therefore purchase the truck sight unseen.

It's a bit unsettling to fork over almost $50k for something I haven't even laid eyes on... There's NO WAY I would have done this if other members hadn't bought from these guys before...

That ain't with all options if the sticker is only 56.5k.

You can go to Truecar.com and it will show you what invoice is. If you get the VIN of the one you are considering, you can pull the sticker up online. Just search for FORD VIN and click the link for research maniacs. Usually the difference it around $5k depending on options.

I went to Sheehy Ford in Springfield in January - they would not budge off MSRP. The salesman went on to say that I was lucky because "every other dealership was selling MSRP plus markup!"

Needless to say I thanked them for their time and went on my way.

Now I am dealing with Zook and those guys are awesome and honest!

Zook was awesome with my deal. Very upfront and had my time line down.

Ur right, i should have said every option i wanted. I called that dealer back and they said the best they will do is 1k under msrp.

Please try calling Doug at Dicksmith ford and he will give you upfront invoice price. Easy to deal with . Not affiliated btw with the dealership but had the best customer service when i purchased my Reby red SE raptor thats why I keep on recommending him.

You can go to ford.com and built your raptor there and see MSRP .
Call the dealer and they can print out price invoice and MSRP.

I actually just did that.. I was at 53,***. I just want nav and leather with the Luxary package, no graphics, in sandstone color and plain black leather interior.
Im actually working close to Dicksmith Ford in another week or so. I will def call.. Thx for the pm
