I get the consensus is that the live shocks improves off-road immensely.
I can't doubt that because I know I won't go off-road with mine :p.
I am a mall crawler.
On road it handles better and stays put- stiff, but I dislike how it absorbs the Road imperfections. You will feel every uneven road and stone you ride over.
Its a truck not a caddy.

What PSI are your tires? That has a big effect on ride quality.

Any thoughts on the life span of these live shocks?

I know in other models with live shocks, they are sometimes shot after 4-5 years.

Hope these in the '19 are different.

They'll last as long as 17-18 Raptor shocks, as they are identical minus the live valve. So anywhere between 30k-100k based on gen 1 numbers

Right now 40 at back and 38 in front. No difference when I had all 40s from the dealership before I drove it off

That IMHO is still high. I lowered mine down to 36 and when I had my oil changed the dealership lowered them to 32 all around. Nice smooth ride.

Be careful as 32 will be a bit low for highway use if you load your truck. Keep an eye on the pressure differential between cold and hot - it should not fluctuate by more than 10% or so as you risk separation/tire failure.

Also keep in mind that anything under the recommended 38 psi will likely result in faster wear and lower efficiency (mpg).

And if you're going to run different pressure front and back, you'll want less pressure in the rear to minimize hopping out on corners, not the other way around. 36 front/34 rear is a good/safe(ish) combination for the stock KO2s...

Protecting that wire from rock damage would be pretty trivial in the grand scheme of things. How are your plastic IWE vac lines holding up with no protection? There are bolt on protective pieces for those lines on the Gen 1 trucks.

Not sure if he will respond back, but having read a few of his posts I know he's had to replace the IWE hoses several times.

Plus there are places that rebuild the shocks. I know Rory in CT was doing it, not sure if he still is.
