RaptorWifey out did herself again this year for my birthday. When I got home today, I could barely make it through the door. Blocking the front porch was two very large boxes. Almost too heavy to move on my own.
I have my weekend cut out for me trying to get the Hefty Fab Works skid plates installed before TRR. A special thanks to Kirk from
RaptorAddict for getting these shipped out two weeks sooner than what Hefty originally estimated.
I got the engine skid, the transfer case skid and the gas tank skid all in aluminum. Note that the gas tank skid is a combination of steel framing and aluminum.
The skid plates are very large and seem like they will have good coverage. The egg carton gives you an idea of the scale.
Here is the transfer and engine skid plates.
BigJ has the steel skids. See his install
here.

Maggie Mae approves!
As you can see the replacement gas tank skid is much more stout than the plastic stock skid. It didn't come with any hardware, so I'm assuming that it reuses the stock hardware.
The skids look to be very well built and the aluminum is at least 1/4" thick. I'll measure them and weigh them before I install.
Keep posted for install photos to come this weekend.
