Apparently a ongoing issue that still has no recall, although if you have to change your gasket the whole assembly is to be changed.. Takes 5 hrs according to the shop, service manager showed me all the steps, definitely would pay someone to take care of all..

Do you by chance remember or have the part number for that? I had 6 that were swollen when I had a tire rotation, Ford dealer said it happens all the time with these stock ones, as condensation gets in and then freezes and swells.. Prefer locking to keep a honest man honest

I’m actually trying to see if I need new springs when I put new FACTORY shocks in, or can I use the old springs still? I’ll probably get the current shocks rebuilt for later. I don’t jump mine per say, but I did really like the Cadillac ride over holes and bumps… which we have a crap ton here...

Just priced new ones, Rockauto has for $412, that is just for the factory shock, not the coil. I would like ask the group, what’s the thoughts on need to replace the coil?

You obviously haven’t been to BFE Louisiana… Nearest major city is a hour any direction..

Only thing I would worry about is rear sensors going crazy being blocked by… Best to fabricate one to your liking at a custom welding shop.
