I think it's time to sell this. I have to finish up construction at my shop and I've got some bills to pay off. I loved every minute of this truck and I'm sure there will be another one in the future.
Kaiser / Jeep M35A2 Bobbed Deuce and a half military truck. 41025 miles and 2523 hours. Fresh...
Yeah, I'm thinking the $4200 for another 3 years and 60K would be good to have. That would get me to 135K miles and cover any major stuff like this or engine issues
** UPDATE **
It was definitely the pinion bearing!
My dealer rebuilt the rear diff, replaced all the bearings and installed my B&M rear diff cover.
They heard some can phaser noise too so they replaced them and did the whole service. The tech (who has become a friend now lol) called me...
They are just over $2000 for a set of NON-live valve shocks. For me the cost to go live valve goes up exponentially because of having to get the SDI e-clik.
Non-live rebuilds are around $950.
My apologies for not clarifying.
After a long trip to Florida and back, I started getting a speed-dependent hum in the back. Thanks to FRF, I’m pretty sure it’s something in the diff. Called up my local dealer who replaced my transmission under warranty to check on my ESP and it looks like I’m good until 75k miles.
I, of...
I did find this flickr album of a 2017 with 18x9.5+6 Black Rhino Armory wheels on them. They look pretty good IMO. They do make the same wheel in a 17x9.5+6 as well.

Thanks for the info. It's too bad they don't make that design in an 8.5 wide wheel. Any disadvantage to doing 18x8.5+0? Thought maybe I would gain some clearance for the larger calipers if I chose to do that in the future. The strut spacer was mainly to level out the front to the taller rear...
Welp it’s time for tires soon. Have over 60k on these BFG 35x12.50’s so I got my use out of them!
I’ve been eyeing these Black Rhino Arsenal wheels. Trying to decide between the 17x9.5+12 or 18x9.5+12. They both will require a hub centric ring and there is about a 4lb difference between them...
Anyone know a part number that works for gen 2? Just had my oil changed at the dealer and sure enough my end links are going so that means I have to push up my quick disconnect project on the cnc lathe.
Anyways, They quoted new mount bushings too but I figure there has to be a better...
Thanks guys! I think it’ll come down to if I want to just keep mine and do 37’s and some more mods or order a new truck. Seems like even if I can’t order a 37pp, I can do a lift and aftermarket 37’s just like my gen 2.
@Space Ghost @Nex thanks for the feedback guys.
The other thing for me to consider is I owe nothing on this truck and don’t have a payment which is nice. KBB says $55k trade-in which isn’t too bad and considering truck prices and availability is still going up, I might be better off doing the...
I’m not against the waiting, especially if I can get the dealer to swap over the compatible mods for free.
Looks like my intercooler, thermostat, BOV and maybe intake would swap over. Not sure about downpipes.
The IC and BOV are really the only things I care about. I could always rebuy them...
For sure, it doesn't seem that big of a deal after all. I wonder how much of my aftermarket stuff could be moved from my Gen 2 over to a newer Gen 3 before selling my Gen 2.
Ok maybe I misspoke, but it looks like the MG1 PCM is locked from the factory for OBD tuning. It has to be sent into HP tuners to be unlocked in order to get flash tuned via a MPVI3. I thought I had read somewhere that Ford's factory software interacts with the PCM's differently on the newer...
