Once you know the frame is straight and motor/trans/drivetrain is good, take it to SVC OffRoad and dump the rest of the money into suspensions/bumpers/lights and never look back. You'll have an amazing prerunner for a long time to come!
Has anyone had to change their parking brake controller and parking brake line for their Gen 1? If so how much for parts and how hard was it? Or did you have dealer do it? Just got quoted over $1200.00 for dealer to do it with parts.
Thanks!
When it does surge I hear sound coming from the front dash area. Best way to describe it is a hamster wheel meets a deck of cards. Only hear it for a second when the boost gage moves significantly. Feels like I blipped the throttle for a second.
Hi All,
Just picked up this Gen 1- 60K miles. When cruising it will surge boost anywhere from 3-10 PSI. Doesn't matter if it's cruise control or not. Also happens a tiny bit when leaving from a dead stop. Has the full Roush package and should have the stock Roush tune. Want to be sure it...
Watched your YouTube of you dialing in the underneath and scraping rust. wWell done. Seen others do it with a wire wheel at the end of a drill. No clue how your eyeballs still work after all that rust/spray paint in them...Lol! Kudos though!
Totally understand. Interior is really good. Spend time in the begging in Midwest but then majority in NV/AZ. That's when the suspension was installed (+/- 4 years ago). Definitely need to get in and check the rockers and bedframe. It's lower miles but that underneath is pretty beat.
Looking at a 2013 with under 70K miles. Need to get pictures of the door corners inside because that's where I hear the rust can really mess up the truck. Meanwhile, do you all see any red flags with these pics in regards to (excessive) rust?
WTB Gen 1 2013-2014 SCREW Roush or Hennessey under 60K miles. Clean title, no accidents (or minor if so).
Good condition-no Midwest (salt) trucks.
Unicorn-I know..
Thx!
Gen 2 and 3 are great trucks but I absolutely dig the sound of the 6.2L V8 and the Raptor R's dealer markup is not my jam right now. I must say that I am now on the fence about this particular truck because it's the extended cab (not SCREW) and the 24 gallon tank seems like a pain in the ass to...
Hi All,
Looking at a lower mileage 2013 Velociraptor. I’ve read plenty of the dislikes for Hennessy on this forum however since they began using the Roush supercharger system on their builds, was wondering if the potential “risks” would be mitigated since it seems it’s basically a Roush build...
