We are not talking about XLT’s here - these are premium performance trucks sold to people that can afford MSRP or higher, regardless of the market. I wouldn’t expect a large price drop like this is a Silverado etc..
its been sometime since your last post. Did you do anything with the whine noise?
mine started about 2k miles ago and it’s getting noticeably louder and Annoying.
it’s due for an oil change so I’m going to ask about it then.
hope it’s a known issue with an easy fix.
i get that there will be...
I assume that there is a weight sensor of some type. In my wife's Acura I can literally put my hand on the top of the wheel and I get minimum warnings over a long period of time.
Does anyone know if it is possible to use Forscan to increase the sensitivity on the steering wheel so the "keep your hands on the wheel" doesn't go off so often?
My wife's Acura has the same feature and as long as your hand is on the steering wheel the warning doesn't happen. With the Raptor...
Are you sure about the ceramic coating is self-healing? The PPF is, but I've never heard that ceramic coating doing that. Also, did you have any issues with the PPF on the fenders? The paint started to "stretch" when the PPF was applied to mine. Ford is going to warranty the fenders, just need...
Is is possible to change the 12V dash outlet to turn on and off with the truck vs. staying on after the truck is shut off? On my last truck (none ford) all I needed to do was change the fuse placement. That doesn’t see possible with the Ford. Am I missing something or does it always stay on?
I'm having a ceramic coating put on my truck and they used blue painter's tape to cover the fender flares when putting the coating on the paint. They pulled back the blue painter's tape and the paint from the flares came off! WTF!!
Luckey enough the company I'm using for the ceramic coating...
"unjustified price increase" I'm not sure if you have been living under a rock the last year, but prices are going up on everything, not just raptors. With that said, I miss the good ol' days of Trump!
My truck has had the recalled fixed (prior to taking delivery) but I still have the subtle clunking noise going over the slightest of bumps at low speed. I don't think the two are related, unfortunately.
Not at all - like i said it is very weak. I understand what you mean about having to “fight it” to change lanes. My last truck I needed to fight it along with my wifes car, not the Raptor. I guess I’ll have to have them look at at when I bring it in for TSB work.
I have noticed that compared to other makes and models that I have driving with lane assist, the raptor seems to be very weak in lane correction. I did have my setting on high intensity, more out of curiosity I turned the alert setting on today. There were no alerts happening when it would self...
