Mostly just wanted something to protect the plastics from the high altitude sun. I had these wipes sitting around so I figured, why not? I also have some ceramic coating but I didn’t think to use that on the plastics. It turned out great though. I’m not sure that ceramic coatings really last 5...
I'm thinking about it too. Can't beat that price. The truck is rated for 10,000 GRVW anyways which is still under the load range C rating (2535lbs/Tire @45PSI). Kinda sucks that we have to choose between C and E when our trucks came with D. It's interesting that the KO D's our trucks came with...
Anyone know if our trucks are affected by the Takata Recall?

Ive checked the ford owner site and it doesn't show anything. I thought it might have shown up for somebody else though.
I did a Motorcraft blend / Motorcraft filter at 2500 miles.
At 5000, and every 5000 interval afterwards, I use Mobil 1 or Castrol Syntec (whichever is on sale at Autozone at the time) Mobil 1 or Bosch Filter. I change it myself. I don't trust anyone else to do it.
I honestly think the...
I've had them in for 2 months now. It started within a day or so of putting them in.

I can't get a hold of a service writer at any of the 3 dealerships within 100 miles of me. They all send me to VM and...
Cool. Thank you Ironman. I just got your PM. I'll update this thread anyways when i get the 6ohm resistors in. Just for information I guess. The SVE Bulletin claims you only need 700mA per circuit and based on the measurements I know I have well over that. I wonder what gives...

I started troubleshooting my Spyder LED hyper-flash issue tonight. I started by checking the resistance of the stock 3057 bulb vs the Spyder LED. To be more precise, I measured the amperage draw of both setups, then back calculate to get the resistance. The 3057 bulb has to be tested under load...
Hey guys, I put the Spyder LED lights that I have had on 2 raptors before this on my new 2014. Now I'm getting intermittent hyper flash issues. I've had these on a 2012 and 2013 and never had a problem. If just one of the tail lights was doing it I would blame it on a resistor failure but theres...
How do use the seamless butt connector to tap a wire? I think seamless butt-connectors and adhesive heat-shrink make a great connection. Especially with a high quality connector and ratcheting crimps. I'm just not sure how to use one to tap a wire.

I was dogging on "Vampire" Taps the other night and started wondering, what is the proper way to tap into an existing 12V wire? I googled it and I see this method of stripping the existing wire, splitting the strands, sticking the new wire through it, twisting it around, and electrical taping...
A pager alarm and an X26 is even better than a electric door handle lol.

I'll send you a PM.
I want an aftermarket alarm system but I don't want someone chopping up my harness with those damn 3M scotch-lok connectors. I assume the Ford upgraded security package is a total joke.
I love it. The styling is great. I love the amber DRLs and the front end looks mean. I like the eco-boost 3.5L. You know its going to be tuned up for the new Raptor. I've always thought the Raptor should have come from the factory with boost. Overall, I'm excited to see them in real life and...
I like my stock BFGs. I have run BFG ATs on my Jeep and my Powerstroke and other than the fast wear (~25k), I've never had a problem with them. My Raptor had 30k when I bought it so I had them replace the tires with the OEM. As other people have mentioned, They are not the best in the snow and...
Sick! I'm getting one if these to point backwards above my Retrax! I'll show the cops a light shield lol...
The $200 one not the $1500. Can't be 7 times better can it?
