That’s what I meant by “checking the forum posts” because I would have seen this thread. Can confirm positive experiences ordering from Apollo Off-road. :)
I have the exhaust on order from AWE, waiting for them to ship it then i'll have some sound clips. It sounds like they will take 2-4 weeks to ship though, I should have checked the forum posts before ordering lol
Edit: Their site says hand crafted exhausts will take 2-4 weeks to ship and the...
I have a couple of before videos, but listening to the before and after cold start I couldn’t hear a difference. You can in person but it’s hard to pick up on a microphone. I’ll try to get some after sound clips of drive bys but it won’t be until after next weekend.
Yeah I have the downpipes as well. The rasp isn’t gone at high RPM but it’s slightly subdued. I think at this point there’s nothing else to do about it but trade it in for an R but I’ll save the $60k+ and keep this.
I just got mine about 2 weeks ago. The sound is definitely an improvement but it’s really hard to capture on microphone. The trombone itself fit perfectly, seems like another quality piece from SPD!
I didn’t have rubbing, but I only drove home and to the grocery store…less than 1 mile total. They looked like a tight fit, I’m willing to bet they would rub if you hit something right with the tire turned.
Not another “I did it and it works” post…but here it is lol
I see a lot of you using the KO2 37, I wanted the Baja boss ATs and they’re slightly larger. I was worried about the spare location. It fits, but it is close to the panhard bar. I can probably move the tire back a little, and I might...
Thinking more about it, I probably could have gotten it down there easier had I trimmed 3/8” off. That also would have made getting the boot on a lot easier, either that or taking more of the outer plastic at the lip of the tube off with the deburring knife. It had a thick rib on the passenger...
I'd like to add some things to this for the next guy to read. I ordered the SPD Alpha Catted Downpipes from @Johnny@Apollo-Optics and they shipped very quickly and were at my door within a few days. I also ordered the K&N inlet tubes directly from K&N.
SPD downpipes: Fit and finish are...
Google Maps led me wrong a few times here advertising "E85 sold here" but when I go check it out they only have unleaded and diesel. According to the DoE website there are two but both are 23 and 24 minutes away. I may just go with 93 and race Prius's.
@FmaxTurboSi did you need to replace any...
I ordered one. I figure SPD makes good stuff so I'll roll the dice and see how this goes!
Also, off topic but....K&N inlet tubes are on sale right now $50 off. So I ordered those too
Oh I’ve seen the downpipe clips, and they’re awesome. Johnny did a better job at showcasing the sound than SPD did IMO. I’m referring to the aftermarket gen3 trombone.
Nice, I've been on the fence too. I put the AWE 2FG on my gen2 and it was so damn loud, definitely don't want that again. I definitely expected loud but holy F!
I keep listening to the turbo spool on @GooseTuned 's video with @WTX 's truck and I definitely want to pull the trigger. I just need...
Saw the video the other day, pretty cool. Question for you, how much louder are the downpipes? I know that’s subjective, but is it loud enough to be annoying on a long highway drive in normal exhaust mode?
I bet Fox is making so much money building these shocks for Ford that they don’t care about aftermarket at this point for the Raptor. But at the same time I don’t see them going “hey these aftermarket shocks are great, they pick up where the manufacturer (and us) couldn’t deliver.”
From what i'm hearing, these don't give a whole bunch of HP (rookie numbers) but they do set you up for bigger turbos down the road. Now we just need a bigger turbo setup for the Gen 3!
