I’m looking for a MSRP deal on one for the owner of the company I work for. I’ve been quoted $5K over MSRP on a couple. There are 9 possibles nearby, I have some more dealerships to call.
To quote Mitch the cop in Dolomite: “You must be high or something, fella”
Seriously, paying invoice right now on one of the most desirable trucks is a dream, and not one based in reality. Between extreme demand, commodities shortages, etc, the dealers will be chasing every buck they can from...
I’m shocked at what used cars are going for right now. I have a 2016 Chevy 2500 regular cab 4x4 with 70K miles, but it’s hammered. It’s a former plow truck with lots of rust and significant dents/damage. Carmax offered me $22K in person. KBB fair trade in is $22K, I would consider this truck...
You and your wife making over $160K should be able to accelerate those student loan payments and dump that debt in under 5 years. Don’t be a slave to it.
My wife and I paid off $185K in debt and student loans in 5 years earning $100K to start and $140K by the end. We relaxed a bit and saved...

I’ve often thought about building my own setup like this. It would be badass with my power tank, probably could do all 4 tires in just a couple minutes. Since I’m living where I can drive on the beach...
I had my own Raptor rollercoaster of buying my dream truck in July 2020, putting “I Like Men” on the hood for the drive home, and selling it 7 weeks later with 1100 miles because of a career change and cross country move. Easy come, easy go. Ultimately I made the right decision by selling...
Thanks for buying that truck in GA, I’ve been eyeballing it and it would’ve been a dumb move for me. Except for the beadlock wheels it’s exactly the same as my order that got cancelled in July.
Not as much of a difference as I expected. I like the 5 link and some features, but I agree that the Gen 2 looks more aggressive. Even though my time with the Gen 2 was short lived, I’m glad I owned one for a very short time.
Living in Massachusetts instead of AZ I’m probably not a candidate...
It’s funny reading some of these tire threads across different platforms. I’m shopping for tires for my Tacoma right now, half of the taco guys recommend E rated BFG KO2’s for the lightweight Tacoma. I’m looking for the lightest tire possible to not hamper performance on an underpowered truck...
Here is a quick update. I sold the Touareg and the Passat we had in AZ. The move to MA went well, the new job is good. I flew back to AZ to get the wife and ended up leasing her a new Tacoma TRD Offroad 4x4 for the drive home to MA rather than flying in Covid. We are mid trip now, just past...
A 2 door go fast Bronco would be a bad idea, the short wheelbase would make it less than stable at speed. I personally would want a 2 door go fast Bronco, but I’m an outlier.
I sold my Scab Raptor in September with 1100 miles on the odometer for $73,000. I got what I paid for it at the dealer...
Today went to shit, I have to vent for a minute. About an hour after selling the Raptor and getting lunch with my wife, the Touareg went into limp mode for a EGR valve stock closed while towing a 3500# trailer full of guns (ones I can’t have in Massachusetts) to Tucson. I had to limp it back...
I sold mine because of a cross country move and career change. I'll have a company truck in the new job so the Raptor would just sit and there is no place to use it, oh and the salt would rust it. I put 1/3 down and paid off the balance last week, so payment wasn't an issue.
I sold my Raptor today. My time with it was short and I only drove it 1126 miles since 7/31 when it said "I like men" on the hood. With the move to Massachusetts and the new job with a company truck it didn't make sense to keep the Raptor. I couldn't see having it in the garage and not using...
I was all set to go with SVC, but the more I look at different kits I think the Icon kit is superior because of the triangulation in their design. Most of the kits have a single support bar above the frame, but the way the bumpstops load when functioning I could see the stress trying to twist...
That doesn’t look good, there could be an unidentified issue causing these to burn, but I would think the regular F-150’s would burn at the same rate. I have to wonder how many of these might be insurance fraud cases where someone didn’t want to make payments anymore during Covid.
