If you don't tow very often ... I would go for the Raptor even more so because of the comfort of the ride and responsiveness to your right foot . The ride on the 350 is MUCH stiffer and bouncier simply because of the suspension being designed to carry payload and towing . These Raptors are great...
Congrats ! These trucks can become quite the obsession ... and your wife will get tired of hearing about your truck lol , but she will still love it

I'm a cattle farmer and land steward in west Georgia. The Raptor is the PERFECT truck for me and everything I do . I will NEVER be without one of these trucks as long as I live lol ... spend a lot of time offroad , checking pastures and feeding up . This has been the wettest winter in my...
They weigh from 1000 - 1200 , so not too much but I've hauled my bobcat before with implements and trailer I estimate 12k and it handled it like a champ !

All of the above being said... lol... is there not a fuse you could pull out to disable the modem in the truck?
When I had a 2004 Silverado that had the ONSTAR you could pull the "info" fuse and disable the tracking ... thanks !

Set up your ford pass app on your phone and then download the ford pass skill to Alexa and follow the directions in the app ! Works like a charm when your running around getting ready to leave in the morning and want your truck toasty by the time you step outside !

I've hauled a lot of cargo with this great truck but a Marlin trophy mount; definitely a first!
I was getting ready for work this morning and after asking Alexa to start my truck using ford pass it struck me how convenient, but creepy that is... I wonder if it would be possible to "hack" into...
I have always performed my own oil changes since new. Mobil 1 full synthetic. First at 2600 miles. Then at 7600 miles. Now I'm at a little over 10k. I've sent in a sample with each oil chg to Blackstone labs. Everything came back normal. Truck runs great and no problems knock on wood. I drive it...
Hit a frost proof faucet just right and when I backed up the handle and sharp edges just dug in ... as you can tell I fixed it myself but I'm just going to leave it alone... watched a ton of you tube videos (ammo nyc)

4k miles since I checked it . Seems to be a combination if oil, fuel, moisture... really noxious stuff . VERY glad that's not getting sucked into my engine ... poured it out on top of a fire ant bed. They didn't like it .

Yet another reason for the skeptics to invest in a catch can . Installed mine at 1950 miles and it's got about 4000 on it now. Can already has collected a small amount of Mobil one in the bottom . It works !

Find that fuse ! All of us car guys will have to become Hackerz as well just to customize our trucks lol already like that with forscan

I honestly just kept playing with how the lines were routed until it fit perfectly . I did NOT trim the engine cover either .... I can still open my canister without having to take off the cover either . Granted it is a bit snug but I can do it . I'll send out some pics after work today

As far as turning is concerned I'm always worried that Ford turned the engine the way they did for a reason. If someone wants to keep their truck for many miles 200k + , tuning will only wear out the engine and associated components faster . Thoughts ?

I cant ever decide whether or not to get the extended warranty . My truck has about 4500 miles and I've had it 6 weeks ... what is the general consensus? Did you guys get one ? If so , which company has the best warranty for the money ? Sorry to hijack but its kind of in line with OP topic ...
Where does the water go once it enters those holes in the bed stake pockets? Does It just fall out under the truck bed inside the body?

Truck has less than 3k miles ... already had oil in this line ... that's why I went ahead and installed this separator/ catch can. $140 in about a half an hour because I was an idiot trying to get the hose off LOL felt like I gained horsepower as well but then I realized I just moved the pedals...
Mine was supposed to come in Friday via FedEx. It was out for delivery and never came . Then updated to deliver on Saturday home delivery .... never came . I absolutely hate FedEx with a passion . We always have trouble with them at work. So pissed I wanted to install this weekend .
