I do have an update on the original topic. Deal patched things up so I could make it home. $350 he said that t
It would not be covered by warranty. He said there are 2 10mm nuts in the battery junction box. 1 was very loose and causing arching which melted part of the wire harness. He said I...
Not load on upfitters. Running 30” Baja single row bar behind grill, 6 rigid d2 cubes a valentine v1 and a dash cam. No draw issues here and certainly when the issue occurred the only things running were v1, dash cam and amber lights in Baja 30”
I’m seriously annoyed with this truck. I’ve had cam phaser repair and all the various other recalls done. None of those bothered me but this does...I don’t like getting stranded on the side of the road. I might be in the market for something else...may have to go back to gt350. Probably not...
I talked to the dealer I bought the truck from. I wanted to confirm that I had extended warranty. I never buy those but for some reason I did this time. Phew....at least good news assuming there wasn’t some self inflicted issue. I do have every upfitter switch used with lights, cameras, radar...
Interesting conversation with Ford dealer this morning. In a separate post I was trying to figure out why my truck would randomly die...all electrical systems dead...and then come back. I was never really able to get to the bottom of this.
yesterday, I was getting on the highway and everything...
Reviving this thread
issue keeps coming back. I think I’ve isolated the issue. Unlock truck and press start button. All power goes out...everything. The only way to get it to come back is to open hood and then close it.
is there some sort of theft switch under the hood?
I’ve put some miles on the ridge grapplers. I like them, they look great and with 39lbs front and 37 rear the ride is great. However, I’ve never had tires that vary so much between hot and cold pressure. After a couple minutes on the highway my fronts are at 45lbs and rears 43. Wondering if I...
No strange shadows. I used to have a rigid 20” dual row bar on my old that seemed way brighter. Don’t get me wrong, this is very bright and a slick installation. The only thing I don’t like is that it is so tight behind the grill that it is difficult/impossible to adjust. Mine is a little high.
Good to hear I had trail grapplers in an f250 6.7 so the e load rating made sense. I wasn’t so sure about going to such a stiff tire because I really like the raptor ride and didn’t want to screw that up. So far so good.
2018 40,000 miles.
Thought I’d share some upgrades I’ve done over the last year or so.
I replaced the original KO2 with a set of Nitto Ridge grapplers -35x12.5x17. Originally the ride was terrible. Tire shop had them at 50 lbs. I aired down to 39 front 36 rear and they feel great. I’m going...
This is a little strange. I have searched this forum as well as the F-150 community. I can find others with similar issues but I have not found a solution.
So...my truck will randomly die. It won’t do anything. All electrical everything is completely gone. I’ve tested the battery and it is...
Thought I’d give an update. Had cam phaser repair done. Dealer had truck for a little over a week...mostly waiting for parts. I did cold start this morning and the noise is gone...at least for now. I’m posting parts list for those that are interested. I also had hard shift in sport mode fixed...
13mm adjustment
I tried adjusting the bolts on the hinges but as far as I can tell they can’t be adjusted in or out. The top 13mm hinge bolt is as tight as it can go. There does not appear to be any ability to pull the door in. What am I missing?
Driver’s door wind noise...solution?
Sorry to revive an old thread but I have wind noise on drivers side. I believe I may have isolated the problem but I’m not sure how to fix it. It appears that the top of the drivers door sticks out further than the door frame edge and even further that the...
