Dark spot on the paint after curing sets in. With good lighting, you can see the coating flash and level and wipe off. From my experience, high spots usually are the result of product getting pushed from the area you are working in to other panels, then you might over look it. Once it cures, the...
I just did mine with Carpro Cquartz UK 3.0 and DLUX. I did mine the opposite (coated the truck, then trim), just because it is more time consuming for the truck paint and the level of attention to detail needed. If this is your first time coating, make sure you have adequate lighting! I have had...
I attributed it to the temp drop (from 40 when I started to 29 when I finished). Then I noticed inside the garage, smoke coming out of the left pipe... Not sure what to make of that, other than the massive amount of liquid wrench I used...
Installed the 2FG last night and made a comparison video, since there are already a lot of driving examples out. I like it so far, it is significantly louder / deeper than stock and I can't wait for the break in period to be over so it smooths out. The install, on my garage floor sucked! Well...
Last week, my rear passenger door (where my 6 year old sits) would not latch due to freezing conditions. I made the service appointment for today to fix it and the carpet recall. After sitting in the dealership for 3 hours, the service advisor came out to tell me it was ready. I asked if they...
Just got word from CJ Pony, not shipping until Mid-January... Hoping to have these bad boys on to help Santa deliver the goodies, but it is not to be. Demand must be through the roof for these!! Nice job AWE!!
Do you have an 802a? If so, you have to leave the key fob inside the truck and close the door. That’s the only way my trailer interior lights work.

How did you test it? From my understanding, the truck does not send any power unless it detects a trailer plugged in. Also, if you have a push button starter, the fob has to be inside the truck with the doors closed for power to be sent as well.
I just read that the doors have to be closed, truck running, key fob inside the truck in order for the 12v to be live. This includes the interior lights. Will be checking tonight.

Just returned from my dealer visit to get this resolved. They have no answers, had to email Ford themselves for further guidance. They are not getting power to the pin for the interior trailer lights either though, so at least it's not just me missing something easy.
Thanks for the help and advice everyone. I read the owners manual thoroughly and contacted Ford about this. There is no fuse or relay that needs to be added to our trucks. Once the plug is connected, the truck should recognize the trailer and send power where it is needed. I have an appointment...
I have been researching this anywhere I can, I read over on the F150 forum that the trailer battery charge pin only supplies enough power to "trickle" charge a battery (maybe by only supplying 12 volts when the brake pedal is pressed). I can't understand why Ford decided to do it that way.
Thanks, tried that with no luck. Get this, when I press the brake pedal, the lights come on! Crazy that they will only work when the brake pedal is depressed.

Quick question, I have a 7x14 trailer hooked up to my 18 with the pro trailer package or whatever it is called. All the exterior lights work but the interior lights will not come on. Truck running, headlights are on and nothing. I checked the trailer with another truck and they work fine. I...
