Just went out to my truck and there are 3 - 13mm screws and 2 -8mm screws attaching these end pieces. I loosened the screws slightly and was able to pull them out to the proper position so the rubber is on the film. So if it hasn't worn out the paint yet, you can reposition these pretty easily...

There is already a protection film from the factory there. When the bumper is adjusted correctly the gasket sits on the film instead of the paint.

Had the same problem. The clear film was not placed correctly from the factory. Dealer put in a claim to ford and repainted bumper ends and installed new clear film. No problems since. I also want to say it was the passenger side that was the problem and the driver side was fine. Dealer should...
