    2024 Raptor shock corrosion.

Depending on your build date, it appears the new 2024 37 & R Raptors coming off the line have shocks where the solenoids are actually anodized, unlike the earlier 2024 builds that are delivered with corrosion.

    2024 Raptor shock corrosion.

Ford denied my warranty replacement request. What’s my next step? Back left already looks like it may be leaking around the base of the corroded solenoid.

    2024 802A Front Bumper

I just went with a satin black powder coat. I didn't bother trying to match one with the metallic flake in it because I was fearful it wouldn't match perfectly. I think the only person that knows it doesn't match is me! Most probably don't even know the powder coat is aftermarket...

    2024 Raptor shock corrosion.

I'm waiting on word from Ford corporate to my service writer as to what they're going to do with my corroded solenoid shocks (I'm expecting four replacements). Not sure why it's taking so long to hear back, but at least it appears that they've acknowledged the issue and corrected it. It's...

    2024 802A Front Bumper

Thought I added my powdercoated bumper and skid plate to this thread, but I guess it was a different thread! Turned out great.

    2023 - R Button Stopped Working

My R button stopped working yesterday on my 24 and hasn’t worked through multiple start stop drive cycles… I also got a message on my Ford app the night before that remote services were unavailable because of a low battery? But no issues or popups when I started the truck yesterday morning, just...

    2024 Raptor shock corrosion.

That’s the only one I’ve seen that isn’t excessively corroded. Interesting… But it definitely looks like it is not coated, at least to me.

    2024 Raptor shock corrosion.

There is no coating, so it doesn’t matter when it was built.

    2024 Raptor shock corrosion.

Late March, early April. Delivered with 27 miles and corrosion on front and rear shock solenoids.

First Sticky - Gen3 Owner Pics

Yes, the two outside “wings” that house the fog lights unbolt from the silver middle section and there are three separate plastic inserts that clip onto the front of the silver section as well. There’s an upper rubber gasket that unclips from the silver and stays connected to the outer black...

    2024 Raptor shock corrosion.

I find it curious that the new dual live valve shocks on the 2024 37 & R have uncoated solenoids with immediate corrosion (from every source and photo that I've seen of production trucks, including my own 37), but the non-dual live valve solenoids (on 2024 and previous Gen 3's) are anodized...

    Raptor R front bumper piece

Only problem was the parking sensor error popop at startup (and some weird looks at stoplights with my bumper missing).

First Sticky - Gen3 Owner Pics

Haven’t put the springs on yet - I need new wheels first or the lift will look funny IMO. It took a couple hours to figure out how to get the bumper off and disassemble the silver portion. Lots of screws and clips… but nothing too bad. Just took pics along the way that I could refer back to if...

What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

Powdercoated front bumper and skid plate satin black, chopped factory antenna by 4.5” for a parking garage feeler, installed a BAK Revolver X4S bed cover, and tinted front windows 20% and windshield 65%.

    Raptor R front bumper piece

Pulling the bumper took longer than expected, an extra set of hands would’ve helped to unplug the wiring harnesses while holding the weight of the bumper. Harder taking it off than putting it back on, but 100% worth it. I lightly sanded the parking sensors and hit them with some satin black...

First Sticky - Gen3 Owner Pics

Picked up my SG 24 37 about 2 weeks ago. Just pulled the silver bumper and had it powdercoated satin black along with the skid plate. Had a set of Eibach springs powdercoated satin black at the same time. Need to get a new set of Innov8 beadlocks ordered now.

    Raptor R front bumper piece

Just pulled mine and had it powdercoated satin black along with the skid plate. I also welded the license plate holes closed, but the powdercoater misunderstood what I meant by smoothing out the welds…

    2024 Raptor shock corrosion.

The orange ano surface wipes clean with a damp rag. The uncoated surface not so much - corrosion kicked in on day 1.

    2024 Raptor shock corrosion.

It’s obvious that they ****** up and somehow these parts got through QC without ano. Here’s my 37 with 27 miles on it when picked up last week. I live by the ocean and these solenoids are going to crumble apart if uncoated for several years…

Eibach Springs Available and In Stock for your Gen 3 Raptor Here at Apollo Optics!

Has anyone cut some off the back spring so it only gives +/-0.5-0.75” of lift? I want to do front 2.2” springs on my 24 37, but want front and rear spring rates to match. IMO the rear 1.5” spring lifts it up too high - just doesn’t look right to me.

    Trade 23 37pp for 24 37pp wheels.

They completely f’d us with these ugly 2024 37 wheels. The wheels shown in the build configurator up until a few weeks ago actually looked good - I wonder why they pulled a last minute change for the worse?
