I'm out in Rockford IL and have run the Stealth fighter bumper past 2 years with no plate and *knocks on wood* no tickets. I have my front plate in the truck with magnetic mounts so I can slap it on the bumper if I'm parking somewhere I think it might be checked or if I get pulled over I can...
I'm throwing in the towel. I'm on my 2nd unit as the first unit was bricked by an attempted canbus update. What's funny is the new unit has terrible audio source switching issues where as my original did not. Anyway, the main reason I'm returning it is that the SYNC system is not working like...
I see you can change the "USB type" in developer options but I cannot get my amp to connect with any setting so I can use the Android DSP app. Currently the USB will read my HD fine and let me play music thats all.
So i hooked up front doors and sub output from the ZEN to the corresponding amp inputs and now i have fade and balance working correctly and have a bit more input level and its much better.
The Zen only allows you to attenuate to -6 or -12dbfs. I have it set to -0 but I did turn the loudness on which helped some. If this is normal behavior then that's fine. Just seems like a low signal over the analog connection.
Ok I figured you could and the funky connector is simply to lock in in the correct orrientation. What outputs from the ZEN to your DSP and why? Dont you just need a single full range input into the DSP? It looks like you have 3 running?
It sall hooked up and Ive started tuning and WOW what a difference! My only sort of issue is that the input from the Zen is very low . I have the input cranked almost all of the way up in the Audio Control DSP APP and my outputs turned up and it gets plenty loud just under full volume. Would it...
I took out the B&O and built a moderate system
NavTV ZEN a2b
Audiocontrol D-6.1200
Audio frog GS690 front doors
Audio frog GB10 tweeters
Some pioneer components rear doors
(already installed)
Pioneer GMDX971 running at 1ohm
MTI Acoustics behind seat 2x10
JL audio...
Thanks for the write up. My double 10 is on its way.....Are you securing it with anything or just using the seat back to lock it in place? I dampened and foamed the entire back wall and am hoping it don't need to cut any out for the box so finger crossed. Also, how did you secure the module...
Would anybody be willing to make a video doing the simplecan update on our units? I know there is a video from phoenix out there but the menus are just a bit different and Id like to see how people are getting their USB to be recognized. Do you exit back to the unit or save and reboot when...
Thx for the pics. I have the same box coming in the next couple weeks. Would you be able to snap a couple pics of the mounting points? How much room is there on the passenger side of the box? I have a an audiocontrol amp, pioneer amp and Nav Tv zen to mount and wondering if I have space on...
So I tried using a paper clip to reset (using the “rst” button on the left front bezel above “mic” and it did nothing. The airbag lights are powering up. I tried holding it down while turning on and also holding it down after turning on with no luck. I started a support ticket as well.
So I performed the .img update (no issues with that) and the simple can update per video instructions and did save and reboot and it went black after the splash screen. Sync seems to be working fine as I can control my radio and volume and voice dial. But WTF!?!
I usually solder my splices but would like to try T-taps to connect to the factor speaker harness as I'll be using a Zen A2B. Anybody have a brand/style that they like? What gauge wire is the factory harness? Thx.
They are sending me the touch up paint free of charge. I did make them aware of some less than happy customers on the forums so their rep may make a statement here. I asked specifically why my front bumper is perfect and my rear is rusting so much and was told "rear bumpers rust more quickly"...
