Specific question, the offset on the OEM wheel on both should be 34mm. I like the look of the ‘17 rims, is there an issue with the brakes? Ford dealer is saying they won’t fit??
I am running 35” tires, no desire to change as the truck is as high as it can go for me.
I traded in my ‘17 a couple of weeks ago for a new ‘24, my anecdotal experience is there is a definite drop off in some of the materials. The steering wheel feels like cheaper leather, lack of led lighting around the console, no leather boot on the very plastic shifter… All of these can be...
Check the headlights! My driver side low beam not working, didn’t notice until the evening of delivery, now Ford has to reprogram it. Mine is the second or third Raptor with this issue at the dealership.
It’s a pretty safe program, the only episode I ever heard about , someone snuck back to the high speed course after hours and crashed their truck. That was back in 2017
I did it back in 2017, most of the Raptors were preproduction units with slightly different options. Now that I have a ‘24 can’t wait to do it again, wonder how much it has changed.
I totally agree, also a lifelong Porsche enthusiast, they are pricing themselves out of the market like in the ‘90s and that nearly killed them. Porsche now uses the Ferrari model for sales, the “special “ 911s (GT cars and Turbos) are not available. Even though I’ve purchased many new Porsches...
FWIW I was told the same thing at the Raptor Assault in 2017, the speaker mentioned the Raptor and GT shared the same long block but the intake / turbos/ exhaust were significantly different. These are huge differences. Anyone who knows about turbos understands the prices increase exponentially...
When I attended the RA, there were a couple of trucks with the FP exhaust, the trucks sounded great. Not sure if any of exhaust is worth it, Ford spent millions designing the current dual exhaust, horsepower gain is minuscule. But if I did an exhaust, definitely the Ford version .
Just did the course today, the Baja section is still 45/35, wish it was longer. Overall the course was fun and informative, I enjoyed it. The downside I’m stuck at the comfort inn in bumf*** Utah. if doing the course I highly recommend staying in SLC, there is nothing, I mean nothing out here.
