I had just bough the truck and the shocks were shot. One thing I am wondering now is what I actually have for a shim stack. I paid extra for them to upgrade them for washboard roads but based on the rest of the work done I am wondering what's really in there. I did not know what they were...
I sent my factory nav unit off and had it reprogrammed to put out a signal that could be fed directly into an aftermarket amp. It sounded like shit. I bit the bullet and replaced the factory HU with an aftermarket. I never did try a sound processor. I guess they work pretty well but I am a...
Well I'm gonna throw my 2 cents in here. All four of my shocks were leaking after only 1 year and about 10,000 miles. Maybe 1000 miles off road. I decided to rebuild them myself this time and one of the rear shocks had the seal folded over and one of the front shocks the bypass was upside down...
That would be great if it actually worked all the time but clearly it does not based on the picture of the one I took apart that was rebuilt a year ago and has the center seal folded over.
That bullet looks like the ticket, wish I'd have known about that before and I can't believe everyone...
So I rebuilt my rear shocks this weekend and I do have some info to add to the process. I thought it was pretty easy except for reinstalling the top cap on the shaft. The center seal did not want to go on and when it did it folded over. Apparently I am not the only one having this problem...
Add my name to the list of failures. Had mine rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago and while rotating the tires this weekend noticed all 4 leaking. Not sure what the hell to do now. I don't have 5 grand to drop on new shocks that I'll still have to rebuild somewhere down the road anyway. I'm thinking...
In the process of putting a new stereo in my 2010 I ran across some extra wiring someone added before me. The first pic is on the passenger side kick panel and the other two are on the drivers side kick panel. Anyone have any idea what might be going on?
Thanks, Kevin K.
So I just tried disabling the EQ processing on my 2010 using the codes from the Fusion site. Kinda figured it was a long shot but gave a go anyway. Of course it didn't work. It did change some sound stuff but nothing helpful or good. I changed it back without any problems but does anyone know...
