Poly fill
Hi Guy,
In one of your previous posts you mentioned you put poly fill in your sub box. I noticed mine came with some blue 'fill' in it already. How much poly fill did you put in it?
Unfortunately no. That's what i have done. The Sony amp feeds the sound signal to the separate amp and it appears to be the cause of the lowering sound signal to the separate amp for the new sub. It's getting plenty of power since i connected it directly to the battery
My best guess the head unit or the sony amp lessen the signal sent to the sub. Therefore the signal going into the amp is less while the engine is off, and drawing less power while the alternator isn't spinning. May not be a way around it without disabling auto start stop......
Cut off
May just save you some time. I completed the 10 gauge run to the battery. I snugged it up between the grommet and the firewall for the time being. So I know I have all the power the amp needs. However, when auto start/stop engages at a light the factory sony amp must kill or mostly kill...
Guys - does this setup fix the issue with the sound lowering at high volumes? If I listen to music above 18-20 volume every time the bass hits on the stock system it sounds like the volume lowers a bit. Just wondering if its a factory speaker issue or a lack of power to the speakers.
