Hood latch triggering on its own?
The only problem I have had after driving mine for almost a month is that the hood latch has triggered on its own 3 separate times as I was driving down the road. I got a warning light, pulled over to shut it, and then no problems for several days later...
Interesting, I may have to do the same. It's funny, when you got your Raptor, I noticed that you stopped posting as much. Now that I have mine, I'm doing the same! I'm spending all my extra time playing with/learning the truck, and not stressing out on the forum over daily train/truck movement.
It's here!!!!
My 10/31 black SCREW, with an ETA between yesterday and Saturday showed up at the dealer tonight! I had them to do a light rinse so I could check for scratches, and then brought it home. I am getting it clayed and detailed on Friday, and getting the Bullit liner sprayed Friday as...
You guys are not alone....mine is close, but not here yet. Ford Service said it is off the train (in Atlanta) and has been taken possession of by the truck company, with ETA sometime between tomorrow and Saturday.
They told me the same thing back in December, about them having the most Raptor allocations in Georgia. They said at that time that they had 16 ordered, and that number would increase. The Avalanche Screw that was there when I went mid December was an open allocation.
If you got an MSRP deal, that is great (I got one from my dealer too, back in July). However, I do know that in December, when Nalley got their first Raptor in, they were asking $10k over, and I am attaching the pictures of that window sticker and their markup to prove it. They may have changed...
My 10/31 build has almost made it home to Georgia! Today's dealer update showed it was in Tennessee at 7:00 this morning, and the ETA is Monday. Still undecided if I am going to let them wash it before I see it.
I can't wait to see pics! Are you having the dealer prep it, or getting it done elsewhere? Let us know if yours has any scratches or dings, like some others are seeing. Enjoy the new ride! (Jealous)
Dude 1782 Congratulations! When did yours first show as "shipped" in the system, and what was your ETA? My truck is exactly the same as yours, and just showed as shipped on 1/16.
My 10/31 build finally shipped yesterday, by train! According to Ford Service, ETA changed from 1/30-2/5 to 1/23-1/27. Finally, a good update! This made a bad day much better.
Darin,
Is the survey the best way to voice our frustration? I notice others emailing, but what do you suggest as the best way? I don't really expect any results, but it couldn't hurt. I see trucks built before and after mine delivered, and getting word that my ETA was pushed back to February...
Well, so much for my ETA.... My ETA of 1/19 - 1/25 has now been delayed until FEBRUARY 5!!! Already disappointed about my truck sitting there for 2 1/2 months, and now when I get an ETA, they disappoint me again by delaying it even further. You would think that they would at least try to be...
The dealership where I have my 10/31 build ordered from finally got in their first allocation, that was ordered for a customer who ordered after me. I went to their inventory page to see what options it had, and it showed an Ingot Silver Screw. However, when I called my salesman back, he said...
I like to pull a 21 foot Phoenix bassboat to the lake about 10-15 times a year (160 miles round trip). Anyone else pull a fully rigged bass boat much with their Gen 1's?
I would be whining too! what are your plans for prepping the vehicle? Are you letting the dealer clean and prep it, or are you getting someone else to do it (or doing it yourself? I've seen so many people say they are telling their dealer not to touch it, now it has me considering the same thing.
Congratulations!!!! I'm glad you got it in time to play in the snow this weekend. I'm extremely jealous of you, because you know this will probably be our only snow this year in Atlanta, so I am going to miss out on the fun.
I hope they aren't just making this up! I finally got an ETA today on my 10/31 build. Like others, Ford Performance told me Jan 19-25th, but I am hoping for sooner, since I am now "truck-less". I did find it odd that he said it still showed ramp 59, despite having an ETA. At this point though...
I would be extremely pissed to spend that much on the truck, then wait this long, and then it show up with scratches and scuff marks. Unfortunately, a lot of ours will probably fit this same description (if we ever get them).
