I have the same problem with my dogs setting the alarm off when it's remote started. Truck running with the keys locked inside using the keypad is what I do. However I live in a lower crime area than most.
Wheel and tire weight affect braking more than acceleration correct? I had heard somewhere that over 70% of the brakes stopping power was used to stop the rotational mass of the wheels and tires, where as it takes a much smaller percentage of the braking force to stop the interia of the vehicle.
I sold my raptor to them a few weeks back and they were telling me that this raptor has had a fair amount of mods done to it and it was supposedly tuned. after talking to the salesman the general consensus was that raptor has been F'd with and they wouldn't recommend it to anyone they knew.
R/Ts are plenty decent in snow, If you know how to drive and put some weight in the bed you won't need a dedicated winter/snow tire for where you live.
The D-fit is probably going to be loud enough for you, now that I have about 3k miles on mine I would say that it has gotten louder than when I first put it on. I would get the d-fit and run it for a while and see how you like it. If it still isn't loud enough you can have a muffler shop chop...
You are correct, the D-fit muffler is the same muffler in the full MF kit. If I were you, i'd start with the d-fit muffler and see how you like the sound. Then if you still want to go louder you can do a res delete.
