Percentage of raptor owners that actually really use their trucks

I have so many scratches and things rattling it's not even funny. But my interior is clean and all the fluids are fresh. If I just wanted a dirt road capable towing machine, I would have saved a shitload of cash and bought a 4x4 F150.

There are about a half dozen gen 2 raptors in our area that I see frequently. I have never seen any of them when they weren't totally detailed. I told the dealer when I ordered the truck I was going to beat the hell out of it. Who else really uses this truck?View attachment 154681

I drive mine daily, put 300 miles on out yesterday. Go on family trips as well as Scout outings. Tow my trailers when I need to as well as towing the Scout trailer when needed. And I do not let a curb stop me from getting where I need to go. But I also like it looking good inside and out. Bought this one in July, my F150 trade in averaged 14,000 miles a year so there will be no difference with this one.

Pretty much what these guys said. Who made the OP the "Raptor Police"? If you can find a way to buy a $60-80k truck. Do with it what you want.

Funny you say that, let one person ask about using “REG” gas and 75 bastards feel the need to tell him that if he can’t afford the premium he shouldn’t be driving a Raptor. Or people post pictures of trucks with Mods or accessories “they” don’t like and 80 people go about bashing that truck.

The answer is probably very few people use this truck for what it’s built for, high speed off road driving. People in the west are lucky because they have areas that can afford that type of off roaring but, most don’t. I’m lucky enough that Silver Lake Sand Dunes is a few hours away, so a few times a year I can be in the “I use my truck for what it was built for” crowd. And for the other 362 days I’m just another Raptor that every other truck on the road wants to race or try to blow pass.

That doesn’t mean just because you like to keep a good coat of wax on your truck doesn’t mean you don’t use it either. Nothing wrong with having a good looking truck, if I could find a good detail shop I could trust mine would look better.

I live in NC and honestly I don’t do that much OR with it. Sometimes play around the outer banks in NC, but mostly use it for daily driving. I was a big time off reader back in the 70’s. I had a Chevy blazer. Beat the crap out of it over the years. Had a bunch of fun mostly in the mtns and a few fields of muddling. Now I am a happy Raptor owner and no serious off roaming. Just love driving it.

Daily Driver? Yup
Go to woods truck? Yup
Towing the family boat? Yup

I say " it's better to have it and not needed then need it and not have it !!!!!". I don't do off road. only ski trips and little camping and I don't jump my Raptor. Why I got my Raptor? Because I can !!!

I'm just pointing out how amazingly capable this truck is and that most owners, myself included, barely scratch the surface of that capability.

I thought that was a fair question, not being judgemental but curious how people used their trucks. Mine is a daily driver and pretty clean but it has some scrapes on the skidplates (and roof) as well. It wasn't purchased for an offroad toy but a toy to use offroad if I go. When I need hardcore offroad stuff I tend to grab the tractor and save the paint!
