What did u do to your raptor today?

Wow i didn't know SDHQ had one of these. I've been wanting to do something like this for a while since i ground most of my electronics to the negative terminal. Knukonceptz has a kit as well that i've been eyeing but everything is working right now so i'm reluctant to change things up. the...

    3rd Brake Light

2 different styles of 3rd brake light for Gen 1 Raptors. Comes with gaskets, hardware, and wire harness for the S2 Lights. These are plug and play and don't require any drilling, cutting or splicing. Just unplug your OEM harness from under the headliner and plug this one in, run the wire...

What did u do to your raptor today?

I've tried a couple different shim stacks and never felt much difference from stock. I'd say unless you add some ports and shims to the bypass tube, you won't feel much difference. But i'm not a suspension expert.

Transfer case, rear diff, and driveshaft slip yoke maintenance

i could try that. i'm tempted to pull the drive shaft completely and drive around in 4hi and see if i still get the clunk.

Gen 1 Spare Tire Hoist Wanted

Yep. I have those two parts. The mystery part is a bent bracket thing. Looks to be about 1/4” thick with a few holes. Maybe it came off when i did the frame cut front bumper? I haven’t removed much else except that weight on top of the frame. I should label stuff when i remove it and not...

What springs to run on Gen 1 with Gen 2 shock and bucket conversion?

i think you need to stick with the Gen 1 spring unless the gen 2 top hat is compatible with the new coil buckets. you may want to look at re-valving the shocks too as they are probably a bit soft for the gen 1 (heavier) truck especially with the stiffer gen 1 spring.

Gen 1 Spare Tire Hoist Wanted

Is this the only piece to the spare tire winch? I'm putting mine back on but i found another bracket in the "raptor parts bin" and don't know what its from.

Transfer case, rear diff, and driveshaft slip yoke maintenance

I'll be curious to see how long the slip yoke clunk stays away. i've greased mine a few times with different grease and it always comes back within a few days. Few months ago i replaced the entire yoke and U Joints hoping that would solve it and it partially did. When it rains or its wet...

    Geiser springs mid perch

My truck sits pretty level and i know i said earlier i was on Deaver +3 but it may be +2. its been so long i don't remember but it should be whatever is close to stock. I haven't done anything crazy with my suspension aside from springs and keeping my shocks fresh. I did geisers at a local...

That sucks about RPG. It looks like Evil is rebranding to “whoop junkies”. Looks like they are just a reseller based on their website https://www.whoopjunkies.com/shop-3

How do YOU know your 6.2L has enough oil?

I've always wondered what the minimum oil volume before catastrophic failure is. There is always margin built into everything so i'm curious what the engineers built into motors. You have to assume people will mess up or go too long between changes so i'm curious, will it run on 2 quarts? 4? 5?

    Not My idea!!!!

I’m working on a bracket for us guys with frame cut bumpers. It’ll attach to the sub frame and have a few slots to mount up to 3 lights. First iteration was just .050 steel and that was pretty flimsy but it was free and worked for a mock up. Made some changes and going to get some thicker...

    Good Mud Flaps

i was able to find some generic auto parts store mud flaps that fit perfectly. It was a long time ago but a little google searching and i found them. only cost about $40 for all 4 corners. I've had them for 6-7 years and no issues. I remember them being size A or something like that.

    Geiser springs mid perch

I'm not sure you'll be able to do it with one of those types of compressors. You really need a wall mounted one or i use a harbor freight 20 ton press with a custom tool i made. You might be able to install them. use a floor jack under the LCA to compress the spring, and use your spring...

    Tools and things

I carry all the wrenches and sockets needed to tighten all the suspension and steering bolts. I also have a spare serpentine belt and tensioner in the truck as well. I'd also throw a quart of PS fluid and brake fluid in if you're running around in the dunes.

A/C & Heat Only Works With "Recirculate" Turned OFF

your HVAC intake is under the cowl just in front of the windshield. I'd pull that thing off and see if there's a bird nest or something in there. If you're moving then the air is getting forced in more than while stopped. just my thoughts

What did u do to your raptor today?

my point was with the truck on the ground, presumably sitting on the tires, you'd need like a 24" extension to get the breaker bar behind the tire. then you're limited on the arc you can do until you hit the fender or the ground. you could eliminate the long extension by going the other way...

What did u do to your raptor today?

I'd love to see how you get 400+ ft-lbs on the lower front shock bolt with the truck on the ground. I've always tightened my shock bolts with no load and they've never come loose.

Frame cut bumper: Cut-off wheel or Sawzall?

i have some pics of my install in this thread. I used a combination of corded angle grinder, then cordless and then sawzall. https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/evil-off-road-abbadon-front-bumper.91771/page-2

Frame cut bumper: Cut-off wheel or Sawzall?

for the straight up and down cut i think the sawzall worked best for me. For the angled cuts i used the cutoff wheel. Grinder works well but just throws sparks everywhere. Sawzall worked surprisingly well.

4 Wheel Drive - Front end popping

I've been having a similar problem. If i engage 4x4 on a hill I'll get a pretty loud bang after a few feet. Sounds like its slamming into gear or something. Only does it if i engage 4x4 on a hill. if i engage on flat road and drive a little ways, i don't have any issues when getting to the...
