There's nothing preventing the tuner from modifying the off-road, and tow mode shifting and such. If anything I'll make the off-road mode shift points very extreme so that it will hold gears in until high rpm shifts.

Hah yep. The AFE was kinda driving my engineering sensibilities nuts with the silly cover and junk.

In my SCT software the tow mode has pretty much it's own complete set of transmission tuning parameters. All the fueling and timing changes that increase performance should work regardless of what shifting mode it's in. Off-road mode also has its own shift schedule FYI
