The kit actually comes with adhesive and really good instructions. They go right over the raised letters. Forewarning, be careful what tire shine product you use. I did the Meguiars NXT and all my tires faded horribly in the summer. Don't know it it was the tire shine or the sun. But they got...
I think it was the angle of the photo, plus the old tires were down to the wear indicators. The old ones we 315/70r17 KO2s.

They are tire stickers from tirestickers.com. They are supposedly good enough to withstand whatever is thrown at them. The contact adhesive was very aggressive so I don't think hey will tear off easily without taking some tire with it, but I have no idea if the color is going to rub off or fade...
I'll be honest, I have been so far out of the loop on the Raptor community. I think this upgrade experience may have sucked me back in lol. Now I am running all over the forum. It may be time to spread the wings again and look for a group out here.
This was the most extensive work in terms of modification I have done to the truck other than cutting a couple of holes in the back bumper for light pods. It was terrifying. Especially when things started going wrong lol. Working on other people's vehicles is easy because I don't pay for the...
Some of you might have caught this in my Facebook post, but if not, I hope you enjoy everything I have to say, and I am especially excited to see the sarcasm and brutality that drops in the comments. Please enjoy my journey to 37s.
To start, I read a lot. I did not want to become the next...
3k down for the trade-in of my '99 ranger. Ended up financing 56k for 72 months @ 3.75%. I'm paying $849/mo for it. I am just glad that I am not the only person in the world that is driving a house payment too!
I just landed in Texas from Afghanistan! The wife is waiting for me with my new 2014 blue flame SCREW to get to the parade field so I can drive it home! Finally the 9 month wait is over!
UPDATE: It's awesome. It has just a little more balls than the ranger I had before I left and the John...
I get asked all the time how I can afford this truck (being junior enlisted in the Army doesn't exactly pay for much of a lavish lifestyle). My only response is, "I cant, Thank god my wife can though!" At which point people oddly start asking if they can trade me spouses lol.
Also, as a...
I am only kind of waiting. Wifey and I ordered it in august last year and she picked it up in February. The only problem is that I deployed in August. Now that my deployment is coming to an end, I will finally be able to drive it. I will be back in less than 10 days and I can't wait to even sit...
As far as I know, most people in the military wouldn't care at all about that. I hear someone yell 'merica for no reason almost daily. So at a minimum the Army Aviation community would probably go as far as commending your awesomeness.
I have noticed that you must figure out what is relevant and what's not (though I do find some replies to be very funny and perfectly timed). I have learned more from this forum than anywhere else though. So far every question I have thought to myself has found an answer.
As far as doing...
Yes! And here I thought I might be the only enlisted crew chief swine around here. I almost got another crew dog out here to get one, unfortunately he decided to "think" about it.
Congrats on the second go around. Wifey picked mine up in February, so I'm looking forward to coming home to give it a drive too!

I am not sure if any anyone heard about the black hawk that went down in southern Afghanistan this past December, the 17th to be exact, but that was an aircraft that was from a previous unit of mine. Since people move around frequently in the military there are a lot of new faces there...
I am stoked about getting to drive in it for the first time. I may just stay out all day in search of some trails! For now wifey gets to have all the fun.
Hello everyone!
I have been stalking this forum for a couple years now. Of course I was never a part of it since owning a Raptor was only a dream for me. Being enlisted in the Army isn't the most glorious pay. 4 years after seeing a black one sitting in my dad's bay at the dealership, and...
