For those curious, yes this can be used to tune both the ECM and TCM. The updated ECM and TCM files for a 2018 SuperCrew are all installed on the AP. Any other vehicle can easily be downloaded and installed with the AP Manager software.
Also, the device is uninstalled from my vehicle.
Sold my 2018 and no longer need the accessport. It is currently located in Troy, Illinois and I'm asking 475 shipped.
Included is everything that came with the package, two large, and two small Cobb decals. The mount has been unused and is still in the original package. The firmware was updated...
@wgr73
I was wondering what spark plugs you’re recommending with your tunes since the SP-542’s are nearly impossible to find.

Agreed. The ko2s do fine. The understeer I only noticed at really slow speeds in 2WD. Switching to 4A seemed to get rid of that problem entirely.

I purchased the transmission tune the other night. And I want to thank Aaron@Cobb because he was patient and helpful.
The first thing I will say, i have had an issue with the stock transmission since the day I purchased it. My build date is late May 2018 so unfortunately I don’t qualify for the...
Currently 29 and purchased the Gen2 in July of 18. First raptor was a 2013 Gen 1 purchased in September of 2013.
Both were purchased by me, without any co-signing or my “daddy buying it” for me.

I bought my 13 in November of 2013 for 6k under MSRP. That was without any negotiating. I think your markup may have to do with your location.
Mine was in Killeen, TX

Mine was “born” a few days after the cutoff for the reflash. According to Ford, it’s normal.
If Cobb could fix that garbage, I don’t care if they skip shift or not.

Did they show you this?
They showed me what was displayed on their computer. It said something along the lines of lost communication with “this” 62 cycles ago. Which can be anything. It didn’t specifically say tune.

I’m curious what the catalogs have to say. I’ve ran great fuel, to some questionable stuff (sams club/Costco) and have had 0 issues with the Cobb tune and stock plugs. Currently at 22,000 with nearly 17,000 having the AP in plsce

This is exactly what my truck does. They have flashed, cleared the adaptive, etc.
It’s always the first shift and they seem to think it’s normal. If you’re not careful and it does it under load up a slight incline it’ll feel like it’s going to rip the transmission out.
I also avoid Sport mode...
I had a Gen1 in Race Red. It definitely stands out, and therefore turns a lot of heads. I do miss that truck.
The Gen2 is in blue, and cleaned up turns just as many heads. However, it is missing that pop only the reds can give you.

Still having the issues, and I am unable to get the flash done by Ford since it only applies to vehicles before my build date supposedly.
Either way, the issue is there. If I'm partial throttle it just feels like the truck takes its sweet time shifting. If I'm giving it some gas, it honestly...
I would agree that it is a bit more loose than the factory one, but I have yet to have a problem with it off-roading. I don’t feel as though it will be a problem.

I have the same one and don’t run into any issues. Mine has roughly 3/4in clearance all the way around. Maybe a redesign at some point?
