just got a parking ticket the other day, and the meter maid threw on a no front plate ticket as well for about 40 bucks. Probably still won't run one though here in CA.
I just posted on your build thread, but I have the ATAK system and it is VERY loud. Not a crazy amount of drone, but very loud when you get on it. Also cold start is very loud as well, I don't live close to my neighbors, but am still afraid I'm waking them up in the morning :ROFLJest:

Mine is financed, dealer sent me the certificate of origin, and all the correct info and I just brought all that along with me to the DMV. They did a quick vin verification, and it probably took about an hour including waiting.
I live in CA and got mine out of state. It was really easy. Got the truck weighed, got the truck smogged. Went to the DMV wrote them a check, and it was all set.
