I appreciate the feed back guys! Lots to think about. A paid off truck is really nice and I still have some warranty left for the next few years. I think the biggest reason I’m considering making the switch is because I have a bunch of maintenance items that are coming up. Tires, shock rebuild...
Guys, it’s been 2 years since I bought my gen 2 and I’m already looking at the gen3. I’ve been eyeing a few online but haven’t driven one yet. Does the gen3 feel a lot different behind the wheel compared to the gen 2? Has ford fixed the clunky transmission shifts? Has the waste gate rattle been...
I have the quote from them in writing, absolutely criminal to charge that kind of money. It was from phill long ford in Denver. I now need to change out the fluid on the transmission, differentials and transfer case. Is it worth it to pay the dealer to do any of these vs do it myself?
Swapping out my spark plugs for the first time on this truck, i ordered the sp594 plugs. From everything I've seen that's the correct part number. Should i use the anti seize on the spark plugs? Ive heard some people say yes and some people say no. Do the boots need to be swapped out as well...
Thanks guys, I just wanted to make sure. I’ve seen condensation drip from the tail pipes but never from upfront like that so I just wanted to check. It was a cold morning. No A/C it was definitely coming from the pipes upfront.
Is it normal to have condensation from the exhaust in the front of the truck like this? It was leaking quite a bit. Is it possible I have an exhaust leak and condensation is leaking out from that area? Attached is a video.
Congrats! You’re going to love it! I come from a lot of Toyotas as well. I’ve had 3 tacomas, a Lexus GX470 and a tundra. My raptor is by far my favorite vehicle Ive ever owned. I don’t think I could ever go back now.
That’s awesome, Moab is the best! I wanted to open it up where ken block made that video at Gemini bridges but sadly there was too many people. How was the white rim trail? I want to try and run that this fall.
I didn’t actually do any trails. I just messed around in the sand dunes near behind the rocks trail. There was some roads I could open it up on as well out there. I started to run the trail but it gets difficult quickly and didn’t want to trash my truck. Onion creek would be a fun easy trail...
Nice, classic on top of the world pic! I like it. There really is! I wish I had more time to run them. I want to run white rim and do a small overland trip. I think it’s 100 miles or something.
That’s a sick jeep!! Growing up my dad had a few jeeps he built up for rock crawling. It was always good times going out on the trail. That sucks about your rear diff but I’m glad they got you fixed up so quickly. If I ever have anything go I’ll definitely have to give him a shout. What trails...
I don’t blame you. It’s a big truck for the trails. While I was impressed at what it could do I was also nervous taking such an expensive vehicle off road. Jeeps are much more suited to rock crawling I feel like. I want to get a Side X side again and use that for my wheeling adventures then if...
I want to put a leveling kit on my Raptor. I’m thinking 1.5 inches. I want to do it right. What’s the best way? I’d assume springs but wanted to see what everyone is doing. I’m happy with the live valve fox shocks so I’d like to keep those if I could. What’s my best options? Will the leveling...
The buttons to turn on and off my rear map lights are stuck lit up. It's just the blue LED part in the button. I locked my truck and waited and the little blue Leds in the button don't turn off. Are they supposed to stay lit even after the lights are off and the truck is locked?
It sounds like all the 2019 and 2020 F150s it doesn't work no matter the trim. I haven't gotten around to replacing the PRND light yet. I just got a new usb port that is supposed to light up and is USB C. I'm actually going to go down and install that right now. I'll keep you posted when I do...
Thanks for the response! I'll go check those tomorrow. I purchased the extended warranty from ford. Hopefully they will cover them. Yes, its 100% stock for now.
I just purchased a used 2019 raptor and now I've put some miles on the truck I've noticed some small issues. The one bothering me the most is the front end seems to rattle over small bumps. I can feel it in the steering wheel. feels like something is slightly loose. I took it into the dealer and...
