From the time I decided on getting a Raptor to the time it was in the driveway was less than 24 hours.. It did have the go fast stickers which I took off less than 10 minutes after I got it home.
There are those here that run S/C's and can weigh in. Mine is not a street queen and where I drive the S/C would not last long.. Just know that before you get one installed.
Both of these folks are good choices---please give this careful consideration. The other problem is that you don't want to be left in the dark lol..
Might save money on other things in the modification process on the truck but imho the light only an Idiot goes with junk on the headlights...
I have the Raptor Retrofit lights with the FXR projector and the Osram SVS bulbs in the Raptor.. In a word awesome! Just put the DOT legal HID Hella 90mm projectors in the Jeep---more money and not even close to the same light coverage as the FXR's that are from Rapor Retrofit.
The Recon...
Enjoy the truck but it is a Ford. These things happen. Take it in and get it fixed.
A word to the wise if you plan on keeping it for several years, drive 20 or 30k a year and Keeping It Stock BUY the extended warranty! It will most likely pay for itself many times over. I have had failures...
Well it is like this---depending on how much you lift the truck and on the Raptor if you leave it stock it is not an issue because it won't happen much. With my oil burners and lifted trucks and big tires made my own from a 5 gallon container. That way you can leave a small er cut out towards...
Hmmmmm can't wait for more pictures... I just may be getting a 2014 to replace mine. So far not impressed BUT tough to make the final call without more detail..
Sure sounds like it to me. Pretty sad as much as Trey put into his machine! Those parts could have been put on a new one if he was getting another Raptor.
Ranger Smanger---the biggest and most BAD ASSED RANGER EVER TO PUT ON THE UNIFORM (except for Audie Murphy and that is a toss up) LIVES ACROSS THE STREET FROM ME!! Maggie would never tell you he did "big boy work"----very quiet about that stuff when you are the real deal... Wrote a book about it...
Ripped several sidewalls:flame: on those... If someone gave me a set I would sell them NEVER would the current configuration be installed on a vehicle that I drive.
Ditto except mine have not been in the snow yet. Perform outstanding on the road!
The Duratrac is pretty much crap for me--sidewall is very weak. Grabbers if you mean Red Letter went bad on my truck with only 5k on them. Had a shimmy in the afternoon only between 55 and 65--could not get rid...
In the US you can get pulled over and if the officer is a hard ass will not allow your vehicle to be driven (if at night) until a DOT light is installed. Just a FYI here..
