I had mine in last Thursday (November 26th) to have this recall completed:
RECALL #1: 2011-2012 Ford F-150, 2012 Ford Expedition, Ford Mustang, and Lincoln Navigator
UNITS AFFECTED: 201,900, including 184,000 in the U.S. and 17,900 in Canada
This recall stems from a transmission...
I had mine in last Thursday (November 26th) to have this recall completed.
The truck came out worse than when it went in.
When I got it back:
1. RPM's are surging - after driving and coming to stop sign etc. or when braking the RPM's bounce around.
2. My fuel gauge is out to lunch - I...
Sub harness
What does the black subwoofer harness connect to besides the amp on the sub enclosure? Does it connect under the center console on the SCREW as well? I didn't find a wiring diagram when i looked. Thanks guys.
Yeah I thought of that too. I have one spare switch available.
I was just hoping to have a solution that didn't require me to flick a switch just for convenience (and laziness).
I also looked at connecting it through the ambient light sensor on the dash but that doesn't seem to be...

No real solution as of yet. I haven't had any luck finding a wire that is hot only when the lights come on.
I will probably just connect using an add a fuse to an accessory relay (fuse 35 on mine will work) that is hot whenever the truck is running. That would mean the lights...
Where are the contacts on the window slider and how can you access them to clean the contacts properly?
I have the same issue, the light doesn't even light up on the defrost button anymore but the mirrors appear to defrost.
Last year I sprayed brake clean where I thought the contacts...
Good day.
I recently did a retrofit of my Recon headlights. I used stuff from TRS and for the most part things worked out well. My only complaint is that I needed to return several halo's since they were different shades of white every time. Took several tries as it seems every run is...
Just to update, I took apart the BCM and it's very difficult to try and replace the FET for the steering wheel and console lights (pics below). It is an issue with the BCM and I don't want to spend $1500 on a new one.
Can anyone tell me a wire or point that I can tap into that is hot only...
RDFTS - totally agree. Stay away from Recon and probably most other aftermarket light manufacturers if you don't have some technically abilities because you are most likely at some point going to be screwing around with the wiring and resistors when the lights stop working.
I think unless you...
So I had the Recon smoked red tail lights in my Raptor. Up until about two weeks ago, I had no issues, but then the driver's side turn signal began to hyperflash. I contacted Recon and they sent me new resistors saying that was my problem. I never installed them, as that was only part of the...
Alright, so i didn't have a chance to pull it apart this weekend and doesn't seem like anyone knows the FET part number.
Can anyone tell me if I replaced the whole BCM, does it need to be programmed or is it plug and play?
The lights on the radio buttons, climate control and nav system are working fine.
The lights are NOT working on the dimmer switch either.
I do have NavTV installed and it stopped working shortly after but that might just be a coincidence. I also added a couple LED lights to the same circuit...
Hi all,
I have a 2012 Raptor and I searched and didn't come up with an answer to this. I've lost the lights for the center console, headlight switch, steering wheel controls and moon roof controls.
I've checked lots of fuses on the inside passenger side panel but they looked good. I...
Hi,
Does anyone know where I can order the connector for the A-pillar tweeters as shown in the picture below? It's the C230 female connector.
It's easy to find the male connector but not sure where I can find the female. The male that it connects to is behind the dash as shown in the...
Is this the NTV-KIT419 kit from NavTV for us 2012's?
I think it's listed on their website as ALLSYNC-XG11 (w/ RSE). Would just like to know what I'd actually be getting.
Thanks.
Once that was done the duct work slide out with some coaxing and I had tons of room to access the actuator. I broke the tab off the back screw and did a bit of damage. I couldn’t really see what I was doing lol. I used some glue and tape to fix the corner of the lower duct work that you see...
To remove the rear bolt, I tried cutting down an 8mm ¼” drive socket and attached a piece of ½” copper pipe to the ratchet handle but I didn’t have enough room to get the ratchet to click so I said f-it and used a chisel and broke the tab off. The rear bolt can be discarded and tape applied to...
Then, I took out the two side braces and the seat bolts and leaned the seats back so I could get the carpet up to remove the floor duct. There is one screw under each seat holding the duct in place.
Once that is out of the way, you have access to the lower duct work that is in the way of...
So I was able to replace the driver’s side blend door actuator. It took around 7 hours but I spent about 2 hours trying to figure out a few things when it came to getting the lower duct work out and sometime reconfiguring my parents wireless router (yeah just completely random event) so maybe...
Kwasi,
I was having issues with both my front and rear cameras when I had the active guidelines on the rear camera. Can you (or anyone) tell me if the active guidelines are supposed to be present on the rear camera in the 2012's?
Right now I have the standard fixed guidelines and the...
Yeah welcome to Canada where everything is overpriced. That's why the bill to have Ford do it is so high.
I can buy the genuine Ford part from Tasca or RockAuto for $30 bucks but getting to it to change it out will be a bitch. Hence why I want to make sure I have the proper part before...
