Oh trust me I know !!! Been loving mine, it's a whole new truck.
Flooring it results in the front end lifting up and staying up until you let off the gas... It's awesome.
Awesome thanks for this dyno of WHP gains!
So peak gains aren't very high, but the extra power in the low RPMs is what you really gain - every day useful and you don't need to give it a lot of gas to feel the difference. This tune is the perfect tune for daily driveability and relaibility.
I was working with Jeff @ Whipple with a serious bug in the Tomahawk programmer.
If you want to change your tire or axle size to correct the speedo, then you will get the trusty Wrench icon and a 4WD/AWD powertrain fault.
I attempted to change the settings for my 37s and while it did...
I think the tune is great
But in all fairness, there's no way it's making 150-180 ftlbs of torque more then stock
Thats whipple basically doing some napkin math for the crank HP and not wheel HP.
Guys, just a heads up - I ran into a fellow Raptor owner and the discussion of this forum came up.
Don't be hating on Jake17 for constantly posting that trimmed fender pic.
It's kind of sad, but Jake17 was actually involved in some type of incident that resulted in him suffering extensive...
I get 11-12 combined street/highway, but I'm on heavy 37s now and get into boost more often.
EcoBoost really means it's Economical until you hit the Boost. If you you in boost, it's eating a shit ton of gas. The tune gives you more boost.. more power = thirstier truck.
I have ran my $130K GTR with twin turbos/two open CAI's that are literally in the front bumper through a downpour. Never any problems along with the dozens of other vehicles ive owned with open intakes.
Are you driving through floods in your BMW or what
In 99.999% of cases where a modified spark plug, coils, wires, etc claim horsepower gains on anything other than a full race car- are complete BS / snake oil claims and do nothing but provide weight savings.. for your wallet.
Got my truck back with the intercooler installed finally, along with new Methods and 37s !
Truck still straight up hauls ass vs stock. I never want to drive it stock again. With 37s I'd whoop ass all over a stock Raptor for sure !
I get the same thing, sometimes accelerating in low speeds there's a rattle that almost sounds like knocking. Probably the wastegate. It's a Ford, so par for the course I guess.
